My travel essentials
With only 38 days left until we get in a jet for our Dominican vacation, I thought I would share with you all my essential Carribean travel list.
-obviously multiple bathing suits--as many as you can. They just don't dry as fast down there as they do in our summers, and there is nothing worse than pulling on damp swim attire! Ew.
-lots of sundresses, lightweight clothing. If it's tight and uncomfortable here...throw a few drinks in the mix and heat, and I promise you will have zero interest in wearing it there.
-sandals and heels, but also practical shoes (which I wear onto the plane ) for any excursions. Ever burned your feet? Not fun.
-sunscreen. Lots. And factor in how often you need to apply and if your significant other will be using yours ...we went through $100USD on sunscreen when we went to Mexico because we were both using my stash...and better to buy here and pack then pay $25 per spray canister!!
(Also aloe..bring it)

-for the love of all things holy, research the country before you go to figure out the outlet situation and get the right adapter. I got screwed in Cuba.
-fake lashes. Again. An abundance. You won't want to cake on makeup, but three make it look like you did :)
-something for your hair. I like Argan oil. It helps the frizz, the damage chlorine and salt water does as well.
-hair styling products. Take a lesson from Monica:
-a light body moisturizer (I find I shower and exfoliate a lot on trips to get off the old layers of sunscreen, sand, etc).
- a plastic bag to put your last minute wet stuff in while you're packing to leave. Even though everything gets thrown in the wash immediately, I hate everything being damp when I open my luggage!
-gravol, Dramamine, Advil, tums....trust me
That's pretty much it. It's hopeless trying to pack everything except the kitchen sink. Keep it simple, but plan ahead :)
