Our Valentines Meal

Here are the beautiful flowers Tyler brought home for Valentines Day :)

My little holiday decor at work with a craft G made at daycare!
I bought a new white wine for us to pair with seafood at dinner--it was good! Even Ty liked it.
I bought two reds to pair with the beef. I'm not a huge fan of reds, but it was ok!

I also bought this one to try at a later time. One glass was enough last night lol

After dinner we each had a sip of this ice wine. I'm nit a fan, but ice wine is Ty's favourite.

We were all in bed pretty early and slept in! I woke up at 7:20 , but the rest of the house followed at 8ish. We decided it was a French toast kind of morning :)


Rest of the day will be spent relaxing and cleaning! Ty and G get a day to themselves tomorrow since i don't get family day off :(

Hope everyone had a wonderful valentines day! While I do love going out, and getting dressed up, I also like staying in, cooking a yummy meal for my man and being able to hang out with my little guy as well!! Perfect day. !

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
