Life Lately
Crazy. fun. hectic.
Is that enough of a recap? No, probably not; but it sums it up pretty well. Here's the things polluting my mind this morning.
-I haven't even uploaded the pictures of my living room yet. Like Amy, get with the program. But seriously, the files are HUGE and take forever to upload onto this program! I'll probably be done the other living room by the time the other post gets done lol. Hoping to buy the paint this weekend :)
-I have art my mom made for Garett's playroom that needs to go up, but it involves some pretty basic math and a level to hang, so obviously this has to wait until we have 5 minutes together to hang also. Because Amy hanging things alone=chaos and unlevel things.
-I must also hang out crucifix above the door because our house is being blessed in a few weekends (yes, only a little before the 1 year mark in the house).
-I ran out of laundry detergent last night--HOW does this happen? The jugs shouldn't be made to feel so heavy! It's misleading. When I went to fill the little container, I was shocked when only a little detergent trickled out the spout. Ah well...add that to the errands list. I mean, I have one load until I'm caught up--what kind of sick joke is that? May as well let it pile up a bit again! haha
-I went through all my dresses and bathing suits to get rid of anything that's too big, or doesn't fit me the way I want. I'm done with "meh" clothes. I go through this phase about once a year, where I just want all new clothes that fit perfectly. But since I can't do that right now, I will opt to just get rid of things as I "under grow" out of them. With each thing I get rid of , I feel a bit like weight is being taken off my shoulders. I know I've said it before but it's so liberating not being weighed down with so much STUFF. I know my house is a decent size, but it is really amazing how quickly it fills with things you never use. Encyclopedia set: I'm lookin' at you. Though Tyler would never let me get rid of it (I guess they are valuable? lol), It is currently taking up THREE boxes in my basement.I have sorted down to 1 bin of baby stuff to keep (onesies, snow sac, etc), 1 bin of leftover wedding stuff, 1 bin of scrapbooks and photoalbums, 5 boxes of novels, 3 boxes of bar stuff (lights, knick knacks, which I would kill for Tyler to sort through and get rid of half), 1 bin of all my old barbies from when I was little, a few Ziploc space saver bags of bedding, which is about to go because I don't have any double beds in the house anymore, and ALL OF THE ENCYCLOPEDIA'S !! AHHH.
-My next endeavour is the horrible closet by the garage. It's filled, but with nothing. I have a big blue Ikea bag with ALL of my totes from the grocery store, lcbo, winners, etc in there. Which I will keep, but I don't know that I want that hideous Ikea one anymore lol. All my fall/winter boots are in there, and a bin with random stuff that I need to go through. Tylers winter/fall coats are hanging in there, and I NEED this to be all organized, Pronto. The cut of the shelf up top is a little odd shape, so I have to figure out what I want to organize this space.I think some tall boot racks for the floor (I have LOTS of tall boots lol), and maybe a hanging organizational shelf to put other stuff on. I wish I was an organizing pro. I also need to put something on the wall there. It's such a depressing little area lol.
-I wish I was at home with the windows open! Finally a break in the heat. Fresh air through the house will be so nice tonight! Though I heard on the radio this morning that the almanac is prediction a winter riddled with deep freezes and snowfall again. Noooo! Why must winter chat impede on my summer time! Also, how come we can't have one or the other ? Lots of snow and mild temperatures, or freezing temps and hardly any snow? They discussed this also--it's just cruel of mother nature to curse us with BOTH!
- It's Friday. I have a class at 6 tonight, and then two days rest. I will do Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday next week :) I have figured out this week that 4 in a row is not ideal lol.
- We have a busy weekend ahead, but looking forward to some family time, and some girl time :)
- Garett has informed me he wants to be a brown dragon for Halloween. I really wanted to dress him as a minion, but I guess I have lost my chance to pick every single thing out for him. He briefly wanted to be a ghost last night, but then changed his mind back to dragon. brown.
- We are booking our Mexico trip this weekend. It's only 4 nights, 5 days, which is perfect for us. Since I find 7 nights WAY too long, and is a nice break right before it gets super cold. We will be going to the Moon Palace in the Mayan Riviera. Garett has taken up telling us we can't go back to Cancun because "Cancun is too dange-us, mommy" lol. I don't know where he gets these things from, but he has been recorded telling us this, finger shaking and everything lol. What a boy!
- I'm excited for next year, when he will be able to come with us :) I don't trust that he could sit on a plane for 4 hours right now, or that he would be able to understand the pressure differential and having to pop his ears. So, when he's a little bit older :) I don't want to be the person on the plane with the screaming baby/toddler!
- I don't want to bore you anymore with emptying my brain on here, so hopefully you all have a wonderful Friday, and enjoy your weekend! We are going to get spoiled weather wise, and I can't wait :)
