Main Floor Living Room Inspiration
Before I get into my breakdowns of completed rooms, I wanted to give a small preview of the room since it's less work than the recap, and since I am too lazy to upload pictures right now, this is the closest I can get to the completed post until I plug away at the other :)
Here is the inspiration:
Wall Colour : CIL "Copper Coin"...a little more orange than the picture looks, but I love it!! So rich and inviting. It took THREE coats and an entire gallon of paint to finish three walls ( really two walls and a wall with a bay window)--that builders paint is going to be the death of me--it absorbs paint like crazy! (this paint had built in primer too!)
Inspiration for décor was a bit rustic (we have a lot of wood in here--hardwood floors, wooden tables, brown couches, wooden ladder holding a beige cable knit blanket, wooden mirror, etc), so I purchased this Acadian wood "server". Each piece is unique with the knots and colouring, and I'm excited to see what mine will look like!
I wanted red accents to give it a more Moroccan vibe also--I love how the red feels against the orangey coloured wall! Adds some funky sense of dimension. Also, I needed to work around the focal piece of the room, which is a really funky painting from our other house.
So I got some chunky candle holders, and bought some pillar candles for them, and a big old looking wooden clock to put in the cubby above the fireplace with a scentsy warmer.
I also wanted to include some wicker baskets under the coffee table and end table, and haven't settled on putting curtains in there, other than our white wooden blinds.
I also bought some big vases to put some branch decorations I grabbed from Michaels into.
I am just excited for everything I ordered to arrive so I can put it all together, and sit back and enjoy another room complete :)
