Things Garett Says {Part 3}

With each passing day, my love is learning more and more words, becoming more clear, and revealing that beautiful imagination of his. Here are a few things he has been saying lately:


*leaving daycare*
Garett: MOMMY!!
Me: Yeah?
Garett: Don't go in that ditch right there, or you get SUPER dirty!!!


*Laying in bed*
Garett: The big bad wolf will NEBER EBER get us in the house!
Me: You're right. Our house is made of bricks, so he can't huff and puff and blow our house down!
Garett: BRICKS!!!
Me: But you know the big bad wolf is just imaginary right, and he couldn't get us anyways because he lives in story books?
Garett: yes mommy, I know.


*walking into a dark room*
Garett: AH ! MOMMY! It's dark, I scared!!!
Me: Oh you're scared of the dark now?
Garett: No mommy, I'm a BIG BOY, not a baby! I not scared of the dark! *insert insane cackling here*


*every time we are reading and see a letter G*
Garett: MOMMY! MOMMY! "G!" "G" is for Garett! ME!
Me: That's right baby, G is for Garett, and Garett is you!
Garett: Oh, mommy


*sitting on the steps with daddy*
Me: Buddy, do you want some dinosaur snacks?
Garett: Oh, no thank you mommy. I too full. (rubs his belly and smiles)


*getting home from daycare*
Me: Do you want to watch Dinotrux while I make you a snack?
Garett: Yes!! Dinotrux my favourite!!!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
