Thoughts for Thursday

-Garett had swimming last night, and he is doing SO well. I can hardly believe how far he has come in his ability. Diving down for objects at the bottom of the pool, swimming on his back with his arms by his side, swimming face down with no use of arms, and the front stroke. The boy is certainly loving swimming lessons.


-Tyler made my hamburger recipe last night (using crushed up cool ranch doritos instead of breadcrumbs), and some other random seasoning. So the kids devoured those, and had baths and went to bed around 7 again. I took a hot bath and we lounged around talking and doing NOTHING until 11:30. Oops. We meant to go to bed earlier, but it was nice to just sit with nothing else going on and talk.


-Tonight, Tyler has a gig with Disco Inferno from 8-10, but sound check is at 5:00 and I said to just stay out and get dinner and stuff in between instead of driving all over just to make it back for the worlds easiest bedtime routine.


-Tomorrow night, I need to run out and do a BIG grocery trip. Hoping for some nice weather so I can get it done and not freeze.


-How does laundry fall behind so easily? We can pretty well stay on top of actually getting it done, but it sits for DAYS before I can get it put away. UGH


-This weekend I am going to go through each room and thin things out more. I've been pretty good to do it, since I don't like a lot of "stuff" knick knack wise. But another toy riddance, clean out Garett's closet, go through their dressers and all the kitchen cupboards. I am starting to feel weighed down, and that's usually an indicator that I need to just go through and toss stuff again.


-Yesterday I confirmed our pizza order for Garett's birthday, and signed the waivers online for the kids and Tyler and I. Took Garett's new shoes to Sportchek to finally have that security tag removed. I also need to get to the library tomorrow because Garett's books are due tomorrow. Hoping at least one of the books I want are off hold now, and on the shelf :)


-I have started preparing for Easter, now that Garett's Birthday and Tyler's Birthday are all organized.


-I'm going back to the gym with Shan on Monday, but for today? I am going to have chicken fingers for lunch. I've been craving the chicken fingers here for weeks, and after this week, I deserve it. Plus, there's hardly anyone in the office today (we are all on and off on training sessions until the end of fiscal), so what better day to treat myself when there's nothing else going on! :)


-I'm thinking of taking up drinking coffee. I feel I will only have to push through the gagging a few times until I like it?  But I need something to wake me up in the mornings!


-Planning my next date day with Garett. We haven't had one since last Feb!!!

  1. For the coffee talk, try a flavored coffee or a flavored creamer to introduce yourself to it. Or just try a good coffee but a small cup of it. I like a lot of coffees now but I find some taste better with brown sugar than white sugar and has to be 2% milk. You should do it - it is a blessing in disguise lol
