Ok can I first start off by saying YAYYYY!!! (It's Friday).
Today should go by fairly quickly as it seems to be pretty busy this morning (writing in between tasks).
This morning however was awfully chilly! I had a sweater on with a fall coat overtop and was wishing for a hat and mitts at the bus stop! It was 6 degrees when I left for work and I am always reminded when this weather begins how NOT cut out for winter weather I am. Maybe I should move to Hawaii *sigh* And to think--it will get up to 41 degrees colder then this over the course of a winter. YUCK. I really do love my hot weather! At least we'll have a bit of a break this year with our honeymoon coming up sometime in January or so :)
Today at lunch, myself and Dolly, Shan, (maybe) Stephanie and cousin Brenda are all going out for lunch. Brenda works on the other end of town but since they're having a slow time at work, she's going to drive to our end for a girls lunch :) Should help the afternoon pass by fairly quickly! Tonight Ty and I are just relaxing--watching some movies, packing a bit--nothing exciting! Tomorrow is the big party for Bill's 65th birthday so it sounds like a long evening--we need to rest up!
On that note we have quite a few things coming up! I guess the first would be my birthday on the 25th! Champagne birthday :) (Which is when you turn the same age as the day of the month your birthday falls on). Tyler is taking me out for a nice dinner so we get to dress up--I think he just wants to wear his new suit he got! I will probably just wear a plain black dress and the pashmina that a lady at work brought me back from her trip to Pakistan as a wedding gift! It is beautiful! She is so sweet..
After that we have girls night on September 30th when the boys are gone to the Derby. I think it's a nice way to end a long work week sitting around with the ladies at Boston Pizza with delicious food, good company and some fishbowls! (drinks that are literally served in small fishbowls!) Saturday is mine and Shannon's pig out/movie night with a side of wine :) hehe
Also coming up is My cousin son Ethan's baptism on the 1st of October. Maybe I will bring Shannon up with me for that (heheh--shan?) and we can just ride back together and grab some movies and our snacks on the way home!
And last but not least is Saturday October 15--cousins Thanksgiving. After a while the cousins have decided to begin their old tradition again of having their own sort of thanksgiving dinner (the week after thanksgiving). The menu will be a pot-luck of mexican food! Not sure what I will be bringing yet but Shannon had mentioned I should maybe bring some guacamole--sounds like a good idea to me except that many avacados can get pricey! We'll see :)
Anyways! Lots of stuff coming up to keep us busy and we also have to find time to sit down with the wedding photographer and select our pictures for our album/the parents album (which will be the exact replica if I understand correctly). It's such a pain to try and find the 4 hours it will take plus the 2 hours travel time--it really is a whole day ordeal..maybe he'll be around near thanksgiving :) I'll have to discuss with Tyler today (or soon) to see what day he prefers. He has another paintball game in Picton on the 22 of October--not quite sure when all our renos will get done either at his rate of agreeing to other things.
Last night I packed up the DVD's and all the stuff in the living room aside from any candles/furniture/wall stuff. The house is slowly starting to look bare. Can't say I'm a fan. I hate living in chaos/boxes for 2 weeks. It's so cold feeling when things are bare! But 7 days from today, we get the keys!! So exciting :) I don't know if the cats are quite ready--they already know its coming with all the boxes laying around. Steve is not impressed, Mika keeps jumping into the boxes as I'm trying to pack and Marty is scared of them. I guess I'll also need to get one more cat carrier with the extra cat now so they can all sit in a row in the backseat hehe.
Last night I uploaded almost 300 pictures from the last year or so of albums on my computer to the Walmart website to print out and sort into albums. My main irritation is I dont know whether to get them now and have to pack the albums or wait until we move--but then have to drive 30 mins to walmart to pick them up and 30 mins home haha. I wish Embrun had a walmart :( It does have quite a bit though, I'll admit! Lots of stores and boutiques--I guess it's a pretty big place. Which is nice! We won't have to drive into town for EVERYTHING.

ReplyDeleteI love getting shoutouts in blogs :) I wouldnt mind coming to the baptism - we'll play it by ear for sure! I'm so excited to just have a weekend of nothing, ya know?! We deserve it! I can't wait to see the pictures from the wedding - they're gonna be gorgeous! I can definitely relate to living ut of boxes - I late it too and I can just imagine how Steve is handling this lol Of course Marty is scared - that cat is scared of his own shadow lol
