Happy Hump Day everyone!!

Life is slowly shifting back into "normal" mode for the next few days anyways! I love it!
Last night after work, Tyler picked me up  (during a torrential downpour, may I add--yuck!). We made our way to the Carling area and signed our Mortgage papers! He was in a bit of a rush though, so we didn't get any pictures of us signing for our new/first real home :( But hopefully they'll let us stick that sold sign on (if the realtor hasn't already).

How exciting! Now the real work begins--renos! It's going to be pretty challenging the first little bit though, as the bulk of our work needs to be done on weekends when we have a good solid 10 hours to stick into the work at a time. The day after we take possession is a Saturday and Tyler has a gig that night (so we could work Friday night and Saturday morning) but the Sunday following that is my birthday--so hopefully we won't be doing too much work that weekend! Then--come Thursday (29th), the boys will all be gone to their fall fishing derby until October 1. So hopefully he's not too tired when he comes back and can get a good chunk done! We are aiming for the week of Oct 15 to move in for good! It will be so nice to be moved in and decorate for our first Hallowe'en to see how many little kiddies we get through there! eeek!

I am so excited for the fishing derby weekend! The last one wasn't so great because I was home alone and Casey didn't go. But this time Casey is going with them and Shannon and I get left to ourselves! hehe..This time we won't be going out I don't think. We plan on just staying in with movies/DVD's of tv shows or whatever we want with lots of junk food and wine! The time goes by a lot quicker when you don't have to stay by yourself! On the 1st of October, my cousin Chantal's baby Ethyn will be getting baptised. So I may be taking a ride up for that. Alone I assume since if Ty gets back before I have to leave, he will probably be too tired to come. It's so nice to see little babies coming into the family to start a new generation! Who knows, maybe we'll be next :) (I'm sure it'll come sooner rather then later--no rush though!)

It feels more like a Monday today then a Weds the way things have been going! This morning I slept in 10 mins (oops) and as I was putting my shoes on, I felt something tickle my right foot. Off came the shoe and there was an EARWIG crawling up my foot. EW. So I flicked it off and in came one of my cats "Marty" to save me. He chomped on it for a few minutes before I left the house. When I got on the bus I see that it is almost empty (so I check my clock, etc before validating it is actually Weds and not Saturday and it was 6:15 AM not 1 AM or anything wild like that). I guess a lot of people are getting this cold I am trying to get over! So many people are absent today! I can't say I mind the quiet. Maybe the teenagers that ride the bus after school will be gone too :) There is nothing that ruins the end of a good work day like listening to them rant about unimportant drama. *sigh* I wish it wasn't so expensive to park down here everyday :( Once I move though and start bussing in with my sister-in-law Erin, things will be better! Doubt there's any children on those routes! :)

Anyways--off to begin my Wednesday!
