Another busy morning! I hope it keeps up like this! Winter will just fly by :)

Last night after work, I headed over to Halley's Service Center for an e-test for the car. Passed by flying colours! I was worried she would fail because of the noises I could hear the car making--couldn't say I was a fan of how much they push the car to get those readings, but it worked out well in the end! Tonight I have to go get the licence plates renewed (that' why I went for the e-test).

So after I get home, I do a bit of cleaning--some dishes, a load of laundry and I start to cook supper since Tyler would be home "in an hourish" according to him. So I decided to make rotini pasta with a homemade sauce and some hot italian sausage and a side of some garlic bread (which was all really tasty after all was said and done). But I was cutting up my jalapeno---and even was VERY careful to get rid of all the seeds AND wash my hands TWICE with efoliating scrubing soap!! However--I guess I rubbed my facial area around my nose. I have never in my life felt that kind of burning. I literally thought I would need to go to the hospital it was so bad. I was desperate. At first I was holding an ice cube up to it--after that was all melted (which was like 3 seconds later), I decided to look it up because now it was even worse! They said put rubbing alcohol on it to soak up the oils from the jalapeno. FAIL--it burned even worse--then it said dairy product. I held my nose under milk for about 20 mins and it still was burning. So they suggested then washing with some mild soap and luke warm water--which I did. There was no stopping it--I just had to let it run its course--which took about an hour :( Moral of the story: WEAR GLOVES when cutting Jalapenos! Ouch :(

After dinner, I organized a bin with all my Christmas decorations in it (threw out all the old crummy stuff we had from when we were first starting out and put some other ornaments still in the box in the yard sale pile!). I had a label printed off for the bin. I want all the storage in the new place to be in matching rubbermaids with clear labels on them--I am not afraid of spiders then because they can't get into those :) It's my foolproof plan hehe. I am also putting all our winter hats, mitts, scarves, etc in a bin so I took them out of the box they were in and ran a load of laundry last night with all of it so it'll be clean going in! Now I just need to go get a Christmas Tree bin to put the parts in to get rid of that stupid box and we'll be all set in the basement! I have one box down there left to pack of all Tyler's funky lamps. The living room is all packed up and I will start the kitchen next! The bedrooms will be fairly easy (I hope). The packing is going well though (not too many boxes yet) because I am making a huge riddance of everything I can and want to replace with new stuff and everything we don't want/need/or use---should be a nice sized yard sale! I think I will advertise for this one..

Last night I had a dream I woke up to snow galore. Boy was I happy when I shot out of bed and looked out the window to see no snow :) I am not looking forward to winter :( I hope they're good with plowing out there...

So the new roof on our house is set to go on Saturday. Friday night my sister and her husband and my mom and dad are all coming up so the boys can tear out the majority of the basement :) I'm excited to "dig in". It'll be like a whole new house when we're done with it and am very excited to have a kitchen that I picked myself! Tyler discovered last night that he's a good enough client with Lowe's, Rona, etc that they will give him contractor pricing on anything we want for the house (Kitchen cupboards, taps, drywall, etc) So we'll have to go in and make a big kill on Saturday when we buy the shingles! :)

I have sent Tyler in the direction of the Brick. There is a dining room table and chairs on sale right now that I want really badly--I told him that's what I want for my birthday--so hopefully we find some time to go in before it goes back up to what it was! :) I love love love new stuff!

Anyways--Tuesday is getting rolling at this point, I hope you all had a good night and have a wonderful day! Tomorrow marks the middle of the week already :) Enjoy!!
