Ok so I missed a few days there--sorry! :)

Last time I wrote was last Thursday I suppose. So a lot has happened since then! Here we go...
So Thursday after work, we went and signed the papers at the lawyers office (can't remember if I said this already) and spent a small fortune at Bulk Barn on snacks--but that's besides the point hehe. Friday afternoon, I left work around 10:45. My parents came to visit and we went scouting for appliances (as our kitchen will need new ones BADLY). We walked away empty handed that day as there was a pretty big time push--we got our keys around 2:36pm. Out to Embrun we went! How exciting! My mom has a picture of me with the "sold sign" in the front yard but I don't have it yet (Tyler was already too busy on the roof to come down for the picture).
On Saturday, we went out and worked more on the house with everyone and then went home and got ready and headed to Moxies for a dinner with my girls (so good, but it was so spicy it burned off some tastebuds!) and then headed to Finnigan's to watch the boys play (followed by eating at Eddies!). Sad to say that no champagne was present on my champagne birthday. Oh well! There is no other way I would have rathered spend it then with my family at our newly purchased home :)
On Sunday we went out to the house (again) and did some work! My parents came out again and since Sunday was my actual birthday, they brought out some cake and such :) How cute!
Here are some pictures of the house!:
For those of you that remember the original picture of the house had an ugly light grey (with weathered black stripes on it). This is a pretty good idea of the roof now:

Inside, a bit has been accomplished , but not as much as is necessary yet. Once all the big stuff gets done, it'll be smooth sailing! So far, we have stripped the God-awful wallpaper out of the soon-to-be spare room/ future baby/kid room. Here's a before and "during" picture to give you an idea:

Next in that room: sand the textured walls down, paint the walls and baseboards, put a closet door up, new switch covers/plug covers, door knob and new ceiling fixture--then can come the blinds and decor :)
While this was occurring upstairs and the roof outside, my dad and brother in law were busy bodies in the basement tearing out walls, carpet and underlay. What a pain! Whatever the epoxy was that they used, did NOT want to let go. Here is where I would post more before and during pictures but my computer is being a tad bit tempermental this morning ! Sorry :(
Yesterday, after work, on my way out to the house, I stopped at my sister-in-laws new home that they took possession of yesterday! It is so cute :) I like it! They are so excited as well and have a lot of work ahead of them too but they are up for it I think! hehe. She has a lot of great ideas for her home and I can't wait to see it come to life! I have timed it out: our houses are 6 minutes apart (in good traffic and no red lights)--about 8-10 in bad traffic hitting red lights haha.
I also went out and bought a new dining room table (pictures to come) and need to go tonight after work to buy our new headboard for the master bedroom :) Will post pictures of these in the future--must stop back in at Maheu's and buy the two nightstands I want to match my dresser and we will have everything we need for the master  (almost--aside from linens). Here are the pictures of the new appliances!
Fridge:

Stove (of my dreams! True convection oven with a warming drawer in the bottom!)

Microwave and Hood Range:

They will be in soon with my table!! :):):)
So as you can see, things are SLOWLY coming together and my life is right now revolving around this house. We are still planning on an October 8th move in date and I think we can do it! Wish us luck! hehe

Happy Hump Day everyone!!
