Is it Friday yet???? In fact, you would swear from how my morning is going that it was a Monday, so I guess I'm ahead of the game! I woke up and shut my alarm off this morning and fell back asleep for an extra 20 mins, stubbed my toe on the dresser trying to navigate through my room in the dark. Once I started doing my hair, I realised "wow, I'm having a good hair day!" (which doesn't happen often). I get in my car, and drive to the bus stop. I get to the bus stop just as my bus arrives (lucky I suppose) and as soon as I get off the bus to make my 5 block walk to work, it downpours. Flashbacks to the night before when I took my umbrella out of my purse went through my mind as my good hair day went down the drain lol. Oh well! Such is life :) Hopefully the rest of the day picks up a bit more!
While I was busy at work yesterday, my parents along with Ty and some friends went out to the house to do a bit of work. From the looks of the place when I arrived it look like it was a fairly productive day! Ty had finished off the little part of shingles above the bay window, trimmed back most of the garbage greenery they had surrounding the foundation of the house, mowed the lawn and wheelbarrowed a bunch of apples to the trailer for garbage. Inside my dad put down new mack-tack (is that how it's even spelled??) on the shelves in the cupboards and is mostly done that. He also sanded down the walls in the bedroom (they had textured walls in there--yuck) so that we can paint over them normally. He also cleaned the ceiling fans (even though we're taking them down--this way maybe they can go in the yardsale instead of trash!), moved some kitchen cupboards (need to make room for new appliances coming!).They also tore out the bathroom tub and many tiles and the faucet, etc. I am probably forgetting something :) But it lookedl ike a good day!
I had stopped at Sears to order the bed (which took forever!) and went to home depot to get the white paint for the baseboards, etc and new French door knobs and new ceiling fixtures for the spare rooms (boy does it add up fast!!!!) My dad is going up today to tape everything off so we can paint the doors and baseboards/window frames, etc. I will admit though that I am getting tired of driving out there after work. Think I will take a break from it tonight and stay home and clean/pack, which is what REALLY needs to be done at this point lolol.
Anyways, with all of this going on, I don't have much else new going on in my life (sorry if this is getting boring to read about! hehe) Will upload more pictures soon!
