My favourite kind of day
Some days I feel like I have it all figured out. Things just groove so well with the flow of everyday life. Those are my favourite days. I do feel like there are many more exciting days to look forward to(date days, events, doing more typically "fun" things), but there is something to be said for a perfect normal day!
Some days I wake up before my alarm, and feel rejuvenated. I have an outfit that is comfortable but stylish, my hair and makeup are cooperating, I don't have to stop anywhere in the morning (for gas, or daycare), traffic is running smoothly, I am a rockstar at work and on top of everything. I eat a healthy breakfast and lunch and already have plans for dinner, I play outside with Garett and do stuff with him that he likes, I have a nice homemade dessert created for us after the kitchen is tidy from dinner. Bath time goes smoothly, the toys are picked up, Garett is in bed by 8:30 and I have time to catch up on checking my social media (Facebook, Pinterest) and maybe watch an episode of a favourite show or read a few chapters of my book and still get to bed before 10.
That is a perfect day.
I don't need glitz and glam everyday to be happy. It's in those small victories that I feel I truly win.
I get these days maybe once a week- yesterday was one of them. They leave you on such a high--feeling like superwoman/supermom that a portion of the perfection seeps into the following day.
With all of the bad and sad in the world, take time to enjoy the good things! Happy Hump Day, everyone :)
