Frantic weeknights
Ah, in the comfort of my office again. Where I find my serenity and peace...sometimes. Being at work so early before everyone else, I am able to catch up from the day before, and get ready for my day ahead, for both work and home life. The desk where endless to-do lists are made for everything life encompasses!
Yesterday I finally acknowledged that I wouldn't be able to make it to Toys R Us before my nephews birthday party, so I sucked it up and ordered it online (hoping it's delivered by Friday! lol), and tossed a few other things in the cart for Garett's big Easter gift at the end of his hunt. I also ordered the Bissell CleanView Deluxe Pet Rewind upright canister vacuum. Hopefully it lasts the little while we live in the new place for--and I love that it has a really neat pet hair attachment for furniture and curtains! Tyler also managed to get the materials for his new Cliffrock stuff ordered, so that he can build the outdoor kitchens/firepits, etc for the homeshow over easter weekend.
I managed to sneak out of work 5 minutes early yesterday, so I was a bit ahead of the traffic and picked up G a bit early :) We headed to the store to pick up a few things we needed (some fruit, his yogurt drinks, milk, orange juice) and ended up picking up an egg dying kit and his new plush minions easter basket, which he was pretty happy about lol.
We made an alfredo skilled with breaded chicken, penne, carrots, peas, broccoli. I threw in some frozen cheddar biscuits also--we assessed the food situation last night and we're going to try and get on it lol.
Garett enjoyed a strawberry banana yogurt drink for dessert while watching some Caillou on my ipad at the kitchen table so I could load the dishwasher, and pack the rest of the front hall closet.
Some clothes I had ordered for Garett arrived yesterday, so I threw them in the wash to be ready for wearing/putting away. He insisted on wearing his new sail boat PJ's to bed last night so he could dream about being a captain. lol, god I love that boy!
We finished up all the calls to utilities, cable/internet, and insurance last night to switch everything over to the new place, and keep the service on our current house until the 1st.
Tyler started patching up the holes from the shelves and stuff we took down. Then we gave Garett his bath. While he was in the bath we thinned out the stuff under the bathroom counter. We threw about half of everything down there out and the rest is in baskets that are easy to box up.
I also picked up the little things I needed to reveal gender of the baby to my family this weekend :) Very simple idea, so it won't be too time consuming at least!
It was a pretty crazy night, but a lot got accomplished. I am happy to be able to cross a bunch off of my list this morning, and replace it with even more items! lol I was up 7 minutes before my alarm today, so I had some free time to just lounge around in bed, which is always a great way to start a Tuesday morning! Then I went outside to discover 2 degree weather at 6:30AM, which is another wonderful way to start the day!!
Happy Tuesday!
