Tuesday

After all of my productivity this weekend, I have fallen hard on my face. It has stopped completely. Such is life, right? Half of the reasoning is that Tyler is busy with his week already, and most of the stuff on my list involves him doing it (haha).

Last night, I picked up Garett from daycare after work, and had to explain to him all the way home why we don't have any flowers planted yet. The theme for this week is "gardening", which means I'm in serious trouble. We will have to plant something soon. We are putting in a sandbox--tossing around the idea of a "dirt box" instead, since he obviously likes that too.Once it goes in, we will get some fake flowers and bring out his plastic veggies to bury and dig up so he can pretend garden--this may be as close  to real gardening as this momma gets--I don't like worms. or bugs. or weeding. and with another baby coming mid summer, who has time for that right now? nope. Sorry, kiddo.

When we got home, Garett saw two huge boxes piled on our front porch and he yelled " MY SEATS!!! MOMMY, MY SEATS ARE HERE". I had mentioned I bought him some new car seats that have cup holders, and since then he has been freaking over them, asking when they would arrive. Well, they finally came. Luckily the boxes weren't really heavy, so I brought them in, and opened them both up. He wanted me to immediately remove the other one from my car and install this one. But, that's a daddy job, so we compromised by putting it in front of the tv and watched cartoons/had a snack. He dragged a blankie in and asked to be buckled up. He sat quietly in there for like an hour. Is this car seat magic? haha I think so! You can buy your own here :

Once we were done with this, and I got the dishes done and put away, Tyler was home, and I was getting G-man set up for his  most recent painting session. He always picks his colours and goes to town. He sure loves to invent drawings and ask "mommy, what does this look like?" I always hope I say the right thing and don't kill his mojo. He always seems pretty impressed with himself at my  response lol. This picture, I titled "Turkey in the rain". He thought I was pretty silly for that. He immediately needed a hand washing after, and then played with his toys while Tyler wrote up some estimates, and I made an easy dinner of grilled cheese, mushroom soup and some dill pickles (g's newly discovered fave). We watched the MasterChef Canada episode I had recorded (Just want to thank Ottawa Sun, who I follow on Facebook, for ruining the episode completely--posting like 8 hours after it happened, who was eliminated. Not cool). Garett had a lot of energy, so played around, went out back for a bit, and helped me vacuum the upstairs.

Afterwards, upstairs we went. We did our baths, laid out clothes for today, and played with lego and such. Garett was in bed early, as per usual and we watched two episodes of Scandal before turning in for the night.

This morning, I woke up a few minutes before my alarm went off, so downloaded the new little 20 minute episode of Teen mom that came up last night, so I can watch it during my lunch today.

Am I the only one that thought Monday went by really quickly? I lost track of time yesterday, then all of a sudden, I looked at the clock, expecting like 12:30, and it was 2:52!! What a pleasant surprise :) Hopefully it set a tone for the rest of the week! lol I have Friday booked off to get all my stuff tagged for the sale, and happy to have a long weekend! I hope it doesn't take as long as I am anticipating, and then I can get groceries done as well. So far, so good for this weekend. Since it's mother's day weekend, I hope it means I get to pick what we do. I may suggest more painting ;)

Tonight, we finish Garett's room. His bed FINALLY gets assembled and the bottom of his shelf put on. One more room down!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! :)
