Friday before a long weekend
My favourite time in the office.
I don't know why people take these days off. It's pretty quiet in the office, and I am catching up on so much from my to-do list of things that always get pushed back and lowered on the priority list! I'm the only one in my area here today, other than my Director, who is also here. So enough work to keep me busy for the day, and time isn't passing very slowly (the rest of the week was so slow--today is moving along nicely :)).
The traffic was pretty well non-existent this morning. I think I made it to work in like 12 minutes, door to parking garage! lol
Now I am going to enjoy a lunch from downstairs, and not wait in line for it! lol
I'm hoping Tyler cancels his staff meeting thing after work with the guys. I know he talked to them a bit yesterday at the shop after work, so it would be nice to not have them all over lol. I cleaned a bit last night, but I still don't like that many people over when my house is still not ready haha.
We are trying to get to cornwall just to pick up the nursery furniture tomorrow (won't be a visit or anything, just there and back and will still take like 3.5 hours), so it eats a lot of the day of painting after our car appointment and hospital registration. Here's hoping we can still get it done this weekend! I'm desperate to get things hung on the walls and start getting things put away and organized because my nesting spidey senses are going NUTS and I feel trapped, like I can't get anything done until the painting and hanging stuff happens! This also means Sunday will probably be spent at home instead, and not at the fair at all. We will need to get out and do something though with this weather coming! woohoo!
I organized and rearranged the basement last night. Garett likes when I do this because it always adds more open space. He rode his bike and scooter and tractor around in the basement for quite some time, and was passed out by 8:45 (they played outside most of the day yesterday, so he was pretty pooped).
Other than that, there isn't much new here. I did my weekend look ahead yesterday already. So hopefully everyone has a wonderful long weekend :) See you all Tuesday!
