Hump Day Point Form
-It was exceptionally hard getting up this morning. I was almost 30 minutes late getting to work today. It's getting progressively harder to wake up and get ready in the morning and make it in on time. Good thing I live so close now, because I would be an hour late everyday if we still lived on the outskirts lol.
-Last night I made a garlic chicken, pasta and veggie stirfry for dinner, and another dish of white rice with a kind of kung pao chicken and veggie stirfry mixture with a different sauce than the pasta dish. It was pretty good. The chicken and rice dish is a bit spicier than I intended it to be, so Garett probably won't like it much--it was intended to be dinner for tonight, but I'll have to make him something else. He's like his mommy, very sensitive to spicy.
-Tyler and G-man assembled the crib, and I put all the bedding on, and put her change pad cover on. The shelves are adjustable in the hutch part, and we put the bottom one in too low--we can't use the change pad as-is on there, but I like the positioning of the shelves, so I might just leave them there and take the change pad elsewhere in the house like I did for G--you soon learn how inconvenient it is to always run to a change pad in their bedroom to change bums lol. I used to keep it on the coffee table, area rug, couch, etc. I presume I will do the same this time. I love the change pad cover though!!
-Garett was playing in nursery a few weeks ago after I hung her curtains and literally ripped the curtain rod out of the wall, screw, plug and all. so we had to fix that up, and I ordered her a new white curtain rod to match her furniture, with a purple glass finial on the end, and went ahead and ordered the curtain hold-backs or whatever they're called as well, since we want to put some white faux wood blinds up in there as well. Things are starting to come together slowly! I also ordered curtain rods and curtains, and another throw pillow for the front living room. All from Bed, Bath and Beyond. Hopefully it all arrives soon :)
-G had trouble falling asleep last night. He was in bed so late, and in turn was dragging his little bum out of bed this morning. It's probably my fault. He asked me to put on some music like 10 minutes before bed, and we had a dance party--well--I shuffled a bit, but he was going crazy, jumping and dancing and working up a sweat. I should have known better--but he doesn't often ask ME to put my music on. Usually he asks daddy for his music (rock n roll , lol). Oops :)
-We are in the beginning episode of season 4 of Scandal, and boyyyyy has it ever slowed down. Hopefully it picks up again because it's a huge yawn fest right now.
-When I originally made the event for my sprinkle in July, I thought it would just be a little get together of friends to celebrate another baby. But people keep private messaging me asking what they could get for the baby. I have pretty well everything we need, except the little things you can never have too many of, so in order to save time, I went online yesterday and made up a registry at babies r us and just filled it with receiving blankets, socks, headbands, blankets, towels, little car seat toys, diapers, wipes, diaper genie refills, formula, soothers, etc,etc. So it'll be a nice day AND i'll get to stock up on stuff, apparently :) No arguing here! lol If there's anything this momma likes, it's a stockpile of stuff so I don't have to constantly live at the store! :)
-40 more days before my week of vacation before my mat leave starts :) So technically, only 27 more days of actual work (the rest are weekends)--praise sweet baby jesus. I hope I can last that long. My hips have started softening up, and I can tell. The exercise ball is out at home, and that helps a lot, but boy can I ever tell at the end of the day that my body "remembers" the process, because it seems to be working overtime to make it all happen faster lol.
-I hope the rest of this week goes by quickly. Currently, it is dragging on. I am excited for this weekend :) Tyler is gone to his fishing derby (I think he can only go up on Friday instead of Thursday this year :( Poor guy). But my mom is coming down (Garett doesn't know yet lol), and we will spend the weekend together. I hope the weather cooperates. It would be nice for it to be not raining the whole time.
- The Debbie downer that sits across from me lost her partner in crime last week, so now she has been out of control whining. I hate wearing my ear buds all day to drown her out (they start to hurt my ears!), but she drags me down every.single.day. The amount of negativity is out of control. I heard whispers of her retirement date, and I hope it's not to tease me lol
-Supposed to meet with some girlfriends from work next Friday after work for dinner, and I already don't want to lol. I hate doing things on Friday nights--I much prefer when we arrange for brunch or something, so I am awake and don't spend the whole time just wondering when I can go home to sleep hahaha #pregnantgirlproblems
-Hope everyone's short week (or most people's short week, anyways) is going well!!
