A weekend at home recap !

Friday night I was supposed to go to birthday party for my work buddy turning 30, but I stayed home instead with the rest if my little clan. I was away from the kiddos Thursday night for a bit, and didn't want to be again do soon after. So we just played, painted some pictures , tidied up Garett's books, had baths and were in bed pretty early!

Saturday everyone slept in. I made some bacon and eggs for breakfast, we cleaned the garage a bit, and the boys went to Star Wars store and picked up some stuff we needed from the grocery store. We cleaned the toilets, did dishes, cleaned the basement and played a lot. Garett wanted to bake cookies, but we somehow ran out of time! Lol we ordered in dinner and then sipped on some rum cream while watching "Masterminds" once the kids were all in bed. 

Sunday we all slept in again until about 8. I made a big French toast and assorted fuita for breakfast (we had strawberries and bananas while daddy had blackberries and raspberries).  The boys went to the splash /wave pool and while they were gone, I decorated the second tree that has been assembled for two weeks lol this is "tylers tree" but if I hadn't decorated his too, it prob never would have been done. So at least that's done now. I also changed all the sheets, cleaned our room and put away laundry. Keira napped a lot while they were gone, so I watched some of my tv show as well. Once the boys got back, they had just eaten McDonald's , so I had a quick sandwich to tie me over until dinner. I introduced Garett to Home Alone and he loved it, so he snacked in bed and watched it with us. I had a hot aromatherapy bath after the kids were in bed. We followed suit around 10

Somewhere over the course of the weekend I also bought some stuff off of amazon, ordered Garett's birthday party invites/thank you cards, planned Valentine's Day and ordered Garett's Santa picture outfit :) crossing things off my to-do list !

Hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend! Ty is out plowing, Keira is napping, and I am enjoying watching the snow flakes falling outside :) hope that means a white Christmas !

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
