Easy like Sunday morning
Last night the boys came home and shovelled the front walk, and back steps. We had an easy dinner of grilled cheese and soup, as per Garett's request. Once we were done eating, Garett and I made skor cookies, washed bottles and filled them up, played, did baths, had a snack and watched some cartoons all before his bedtime at 7:30.
He pulled out some random facts on me before bed, like "mommy, did you know the sun is a star?" And "we drink water so we don't get dehydrated". He's also into spelling out all of the words on his book covers. Kid is a genius, I tell ya!
Keira was in bed by 9, and we watched Scrooged and headed to bed around 10.
This morning I changed Garett's bedsheets, emptied all the garbage cans for garbage day tomorrow, fed the cats and played with Keira before her nap.
Steve goes back to the vet tonight. He has his two week follow up to make sure everything is healing ok. Unfortunately we also booked him in for a checkup at the same time for some other issues. Since his procedure he's getting more lethargic by the day, throwing up more frequently, and he's got a bald spot above one of his eyes now. He seems to have lost even more weight as well. Hopefully it's just his body adjusting, but I feel sick to my stomach thinking about him going back there for more tests, and am terrified of the outcome. So praying for my eldest fur baby today. Passing on healing thoughts and positive vibes. He's 13, and last time at the vets, she was shocked that he was so old. So hopefully that's a good sign :)
Depending how long it takes there , and how dinner goes, etc, I want to get out to do Christmas pictures tonight or tomorrow night with Santa and the kids. I refuse to go on a weekend.
I took out some ground turkey to make turkey burgers for dinner--may as well keep up the pace of gs favourite meals for dinner lol it's been such an easy dinner week with him when he knows it's food he's obsessed with hah.
