Weekend flashback

Friday Tyler came home early from work, so I went out alone to the bank, walmart, home hardware, and to get cat food. I picked up Garett and we went to the dollar store, and headed home. It was a quiet night in. Keira and g were both in bed for the night before 8, and slept through until 7:30 the next morning, so we all got some good sleep and woke up fresh on Saturday :)

Got a bit done-- cleaned and vacuumed my bedroom from top to bottom and cleaned and organized my cupboards in the ensuite. It left my hallway upstairs in chaos, but I will deal with it later lol. I also changed all the bed sheets, and ordered Garett's birthday cake while he watched Mickey Mouses Christmas story. 

Garett said he wanted to BAKE, so bake we did. We made two white chocolate and pumpkin bread loaves, a chocolate chunk banana bread and three types if truffle mixtures (rolled one mixture this morning, but the rest are chilling still). 

After we finished baking, Garett debarked it a mommy and G date night, while daddy watched Keira. 

We started by putting on our swimsuits , filling the big soaker tub , and playing with animals and bubbles. Once we got out, we changed into warm pjs, gathered a bunch of blankets and pillows, made a snack and put on monsters university. We watched about 3/4 of it, then watched some Clifford, and it was time for bed. I read him a few stories and said goodnight. I said "thanks for the date, I had a lot of fun" and he said "I had a lot of fun too, mommy" and gave me a big hug and kiss and rolled over and went to sleep. My god , my heart melted. 

The kids slept soundly for 12 hours again, so when we got up, g had some cereal. Around 10, Tyler made a big bacon and egg breakfast, so we all ate then too and lounged for a bit. 

Not long after , Shannon, Casey and rylie came by to deliver a Christmas card , and ended up making plans for dads and kids to go skating. They headed out to grab lunch and the boys got ready. G was so tired (he wouldn't admit it, but holy lazy bones lol)

Tyler sent me this. He had fun, but needs lots more practice if he wants to play on team canada lol

When they came back, we ordered dinner, kids played and boys watched the hockey game. They were gone by 7, did baths and kids were in bed. G by 8, Keira by 8:45. Another 11 hour night. 

Tyler went out at 6 to train a new guy to plow. He said roads were pretty rough, so he would bring g to daycare around 9. I made some eggs and toast for G to tie him over until they left. 

Keira and I played downstairs , she napped and I cleaned the kitchen a bit, rolled some truffles and started Nashville.
