Looking forward : a list

Today I'm throwing it FORWARD to all the things I'm looking forward to. Winter is always a different kind of busy for our little family. It's riddled with holidays and birthdays and when we can squeeze in as many dates as possible since summer is always work heavy for Tyler. 

So here are the things I'm looking forward to this winter so far:

1) Christmas. We are hosting my immediate in-laws on Christmas Eve for dinner and presents again this year. We always look forward to this. It's a lot of work--and moreso this year with Keira here, but it's nice to just sit down to a nice meal all together :) then of course, Santas visit , and Christmas with my family !! I can't wait for any of it!! Lol


2) the next BIG thing after Christmas is my little mans FOURTH birthday (Wahh, he's getting so big). This year he has chosen Star Wars as the theme, so I ordered the invites and thank you cards over the weekend, and will send them out soon hopefully!! The only thing I have already is his shirt from etsy! I also emailed about his cake. Once it's all organized, it Should be a blast :)


3) The weekend after Garett's birthday , I am planning a surprise birthday road trip for Tyler and friends that want to join along. We are heading to a place in Otter Lake called Escapade Eskimo. We will be dog sledding , snowshoeing and sledding ! Once our fun in the beautiful winter outdoors is done, we are grabbing a huge mansion lodge and having a big meal as a "family" and some drinks to celebrate my man turning 34! He is going to love this!! We always are looking for new and fun things to do. He will never expect it :)


4) shortly after, for Valentine's Day , I got us tickets with another couple to go see the show "Famous" at the casino lac leamy. Doing a double date dinner and some casino time beforehand :) he will also love this. The man loves music. And he should also love me more for planning things, and knowing him so well! Lol


5) March 11-18 we are booked in at our home Amstar Unlimited vacation club resort : dreams Palm beach. We wanted to go back here as our "free" welcome to the club trip. The trip expires on March 31 , so we are cutting it close ! Lol 



6) girls weekend ! Ty is pushing me out the door, and I will enjoy some girl time. Date TBD, but I think early March !


7) a mommy and Garett date day!! I wang to take him to the indoor trampoline park, out to our fav restaurant, and toys r us! I miss one on one time with gman, since so much of my attention is on Keira for now. I can tell he misses it too, always asking for mommy to do his bedtime stories and homework :) love that boy!! Aiming for this sometime in early January :)

12 nights away from my kids total in 2 months is hurting my heart already, and I am dreading it even looking at that number , but it's the only time of the year we can make it work, and mommy mode is switched "ON" the rest of the year, so not only is it my chance to connect again with Tyler, andmy friends , but my time to remember  who I am as a person when I am not mommy :)

    Great list. I think by next year I will want to go down south for the first time when the kids are both in school and easier to manage care. I looked that place up in Otter Lake, never knew it existed haha! Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
