T'is the Season

Garett wanted to put together a little bag of goodies for his friends at daycare. So we took to the dollar store , and here's what he picked. (Of course he made himself a bag too lol). 

1) the bags. I always use these , because I can open them to add stuff if I need to without breaking any seals or wrapping anything. 

2) Finding Dori stickers. Because kids get excited about adhesive things  

3) Slime. God he loves slime.

4) Cars stamps. Because kids also like things that can stain your skin!

5) a Frozen crazy straw. It makes your cup of water look more fancy. 

6) a Christmas popper thing. Garett has never seen these before. I wish I could see them open them haha

7) a glow stick necklace. Cindy should have a fun afternoon on dec 23rd with Garett running around shutting off lights and closing doors to see it glow :) haha


For Cindy , we decided to go the daytime sips/nighttime sips route. I got her this David's Tea hot chocolate blend , with mini marshmallows and a cute ceramic Mason jar mug:


And for her discretion , a gift card for LCBO:

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
