Well our weekend is over since Ty has to work today, but that's ok--long weekends don't mean much to me right now since everyday is like a Saturday lol.

Friday night we hung out at home and watched game 2 of the Sens vs Pens series and enjoyed a Miller Chill Lime since I deserved it after all my cleaning! lol. I finished up packing our stuff and we headed to bed.

Saturday morning we were up bright and early and showering, etc. I organized all the bottles and whatnot after Ty went in to work for a bit. When he came home he cleaned out the truck, we loaded up and headed out to Cornwall! When we got there, we went over to my parents place and unloaded all of Garett's things, hung out and visited for a bit and then said our goodbyes for the night and left. It was hard to leave, but being away was easier than I was anticipating. Every once in a while we would talk about Garett and miss him, but it wasn't anything overwhelming. I think being away for a week when we go to Mexico will be easier than I thought, we will have a lot of practise leaving him in between now and then and plus, our resort has free wi-fi so we can facetime him since my dad bought my mom an ipad :)

After we left, we went straight to Archie's and hit a bucket of balls. It was seriously HOT outside. So instead of eating at the chip truck there and mini putting, we decided to head right to the air conditioned hotel and check in and have lunch there LOL. By this time though it was about 4 after we got settled and changed, so we decided to just get a smorgage-board (sp?) of appetizers that are very unhealthy  because it was our break away :) We settled on mozzarella sticks, beer battered onion rings, deep fried dill pickles and Ty got a beer and I ordered a pina colada ( Which I had one sip of and then spilled everywhere LOL--luckily we knew the waitress so she whipped up another for me and cleaned up my huge mess haha oops). We sat there in the wing back chairs and just relaxed. It was nice to only have to worry about us and not a little dude at the same time for an entire meal :)

After we finished that, we visited for a bit and decided to each try one of their specialty martinis. I had a mint martini and Ty had a regular bombay martini extra dirty (yuck). He loved his but mine was too strong tasting. Anyways, we finished up with that and decided to walk over across the street and go laugh at things in value village. Some of the knick knacks people give away are absolutely ridiculous. Once we had our fill of laughter in there, we walked next door to the store and picked up a bunch of snacks and drinks for the hotel room.We bought enough snacks for 10 people and headed back haha.

When we got to the room we filled the jacuzzi and had a nice long soak with the jets on our sore backs :) It was so relaxing! When we got out we lounged around in the hotel robes for a while and watched a "best of" show on the comedy network. 

When that was over, we got dressed and headed down to the restaurant for dinner. Tyler chose to have the seafood buffet and I ordered a baked potato with seasonal veggies and spinach and feta chicken. Mine was good but Ty didn't love the buffet (not enough shellfish I guess and the muscles were over cooked). We each drank half of our glasses of wine and were exhausted, so we headed back to the room and went to bed around 10 haha.

You would think being away I would sleep better. WRONG. I was up once an hour for a few hours until I finally got to sleep for good around 3. Oh well!

Around 7 we got up and had another soak in the jacuzzi, then I hopped in the shower and got dressed and packed up all of our stuff. Ty brought everything out to the truck (including all the snacks we never touched lol) and I went to check out and pay. We waited in the comfy chairs in the entry way for my parents to get there with the babes. When the pulled in, Tyler jumped up and ran out to the car, took Garett out of his car seat and didn't let him go for like 20 minutes lol. I finally got my turn to hold him HA!

Once we said our hellos and got our smiles, we all sat down to brunch. 

After brunch, we were planning on going golfing but Larry decided he was coming down and he wanted to golf with the boys, so instead of working it out so 5 could play, I just said I'll stay back. I wasn't wanting to play 18 holes on my first time out so I wasn't upset with this choice LOL I'll go out next weekend :)

While the boys were away, the girls stayed back and watched movies on Netflix and ate snacks :) It was a nice afternoon! When the boys got home, we BBQ'd burgs and dogs and had a quick bite to eat and then we headed out.

When we got in, Ty flicked on the hockey game and I unpacked before climbing into bed with him to watch. I was not happy how late the game stayed on for, but was very happy with the results :) YAY Sens!

This morning is pretty laid back, since I'm all caught up on housework, Garett and I just played for a bit and he went down for a nap so I did a little online shopping and caught up on emails and such! It's definitely a cuddly day with it being so overcast out there!
