What a day! I have been trying to find time all day to do things. Garett needed constant stimulation today. His teething has begun so he's really good when he's being entertained but when he lays down its like he realizes it lol down for a quick nap now at least, poor babe.
Friday night we had a bunch of Pete over for a BBQ and to watch the game. Boys went downstairs to be loud and girls stayed upstairs with the baby. It was fun and not too late of a night at all which was nice! I made some scalloped potatoes au gratin with Bacon in the slow cooker and a Greek salad. I had also made a ham ball but I forgot to put it out (which made Ty one happy man lol!). We were in bed by 11 (I think)
Saturday we didn't do much but cleaned a bit and Ty went to work for a while. When he came home I made a big tray of nachos, Ty poured some Mead in his beer stein and I cracked a miller chill lime and we bought The Hobbit on the Apple TV and got cozy on the couch. After the movies was done we were all beat and headed up to bed:)
Sunday we slept in until 8:30, got up, showered and loaded up the golf clubs. We went and spent some time at my in laws place and Garett had his first venture into a pool (M.I.L keeps the pool at 87 --same temp as g mans bath lol). Since it was bright out he went in with a t shirt and hat too but he loved it:) our little fishy...he obviously didn't do any real swimming but went in to his belly button lol when I got him out, I changed him and Ty and u headed out to mer bleue golf for some driving range and mini putt. Afterwards we headed out to the Barley Mow for a nice lunch together (it was dead somehow. It was BEAUTIFUL out!!) and headed back to my M.IL's to hang out for a bit more.
We were supposed to go to a friends to watch the game but were pretty beat and almost sun stroked out so We decided it was best to stay in since Ty had to be up early anyways. So we went out and finished up putting the stuff out in the back deck and discussed plans for the rest if the yard and driveway and visited with the neighbours who were also outside for a bit. Made some dinner and went to watch the game(huge win btw!:) ). We were planning on firing up our fire pit and making some marshmallows and these banana things over the fire, but as predicted we were exhausted and went right to bed! Maybe tonight:)
Today Ty is at work and then him and his new band are in the studio for a few hours recording singles to be put out on iTunes. He will get a cut from all songs sold and I guess the lead singer already has a number of songs on iTunes and makes a bit of money for them so it'll be nice extra pocket money :) to celebrate his day we will BBQ our leftover steaks, ill make up some potatoes in foil to grill and asparagus with a hollandaise sauce :) ill prep the banana boat treats for the fire as well :) Los celebrating him stepping back even more from working. Business is booming and definitely looking forward to having him to myself (sharing with Garett too I guess lol) more!:)
Tomorrow is Garett's check up and possible vaccines. I held off on his 2 month shots since I read some pretty horrifying stories about them causing more problems than good in the future so I just want to talk to the doc about those concerns before she shoots my baby up :( he's all only 13.4 lbs (weighed him today) so just want to make note of that so she can track his weight and make sure he doesn't get too far behind in the weight percentile. Not too worried at this point because h eating, sleeping, smiling most if the time and looks healthy, but just want to keep an eye on it :)
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and made it through Monday unscathed :)

Sorry about all the typos. My iPad loves to autocorrect everything to the most wrong word it could find lol
ReplyDeleteRegarding needles, I would never NOT get them and it's more so important in Ontario I think. He needs up to date vaccinations when he goes to school or they can refuse him - just thinking long term. I won't give my kids the flu shot but the mandatory shots for chicken pox, measles, mumps, heptititis and all that good stuff...I get it...you just never know.
