How is it already almost June?! Really though. In my mind I knew the date but it wasn't until this morning as I was crossing off the last few days on the calendar did it sink in!There are so many things coming up to keep track of, I don't know if I'm coming or going. Yikes!
This weekend Ty attended his fishing derby that he goes to in the spring and fall, so I decided I didn't want to hang out at home by myself with the babes, so I packed up, loaded the car, put out a ton of cat food and water for the kitties and hit the road on Thursday to go to my parents house. It was a really nice weekend with lots of visiting and I even went for my first round of golf (only 9 holes). We didn't have the greatest weather to do it, but at least we didn't get poured on! Surprisingly, I actually really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back out:) I was surprised by how well I did actually (probably another reason I liked it lol). I got some nice golf gear too so I can play in Ottawa since the dress codes at our golf courses are a bit more strict. A nike golf jacket, nike golf shirt, hot pink golf balls, a pair of footjoy golf shoes and a pink nike golf hat with a ball marker. Maybe looking like a golfer helped too :) hhaha
I also tried a deep fried Mars bar while out for dinner one night. Let's just say I did NOT feel well after and I will never order one again. For those that would like to try this dessert---my best advice would be : don't. The Mars bar no longer tastes like Mars bar and the crunchy part on top has a weird taste. Just not a good flavour combo :( Which is too bad because I was so looking forward to it after having ordered a hamburger for dinner--came not totally cooked and then in replacement I got some Asian chicken bites--which ALSO came undercooked LOL. I was having a rough go, obviously.

On the way into Kelsey's, I saw a WHOLE rainbow. I know, random that this is the second time I blogged about a rainbow sighting but this one was the full curve! My phone couldn't capture the whole thing but for real, it was amazing.
All in all, the weekend went by VERY quickly. Usually when Ty is gone, the few days seems to drag on but this was over in the blink of an eye it felt. On Sunday, we did brunch in the morning but Garett was pretty fussy so it was a really short meal and we went back and loaded up the cars and headed out shortly after to come home. Tyler was at home waiting for us :) (and had many stories he wanted to tell me about lolol)
My photo album I had made for our maternity pictures + the first three months of Garett's life had arrived, so I got to look at that. I ordered it from the same place I had our Cuba album made so they match on the shelf. I highly recommend this site. You customize everything from the size, gloss, paper quality, layout, etc so you essentially control how expensive your book is! visit mypublisher.com to make your own book!
I also arrived to a bunch of stuff I had ordered from Forever 21 and Rickis :) A watch, a belt, necklaces, earrings, rings, a purse, a leopard print scarf, a pair of wedge sandals and a headband. I LOVE boxes with these things in it waiting for me on my steps! lol It's like Christmas :) I have a few more orders coming of clothes, one other pair of shoes, and one big order of more toys from Amazon for Gman :) Woot!
By the time we were both unpacked and threw a load of laundry in, we were starving and neither of us wanted to do a huge cooking session, so we cooked up some bbq ribs and I made some french fries and we bought the movie Identity Thief on the Apple tv
It was a cute movie. Hilarious even at some parts, but we were so distracted. It took us almost 3 hours to watch this hour and 50 minute movie. Garett was a bit "backed up" and was REALLY crying most of the time, poor boy :( We took turns pumping his legs and giving belly massages and gave him a warm bath. He got out most of what was in there it looked like and was pretty exhausted I think so he passed out around 9:30 and slept right through until about 6:15. He had a few more issues this morning but things seem to have softened up considerably, so we will wait for the next time he "feels the urge" and if the same problems happen, we will go see the doctor. I don't like when he cries, it breaks my heart, so I just want this to be behind us!
Needless to say, when he passed out, we went to bed and passed out almost right away too!
It was back to the grind this morning for Ty--he came home for a minute around lunch to pick up his new dump trailer he bought and say hi to me and the baby and left again.
Tonight we're having a roast beef I have cooking with some mashed potatoes and broccoli. I've only had time to snack on some raisins, yogurt and granola today so saying I am looking forward to dinner is a bit of an understatement lol.
Well that's about it for me today, Garett is beginning to toss and turn in his sleep so he should be waking up shortly! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend--I know the weather was the pits, but at least it's sunny and warm today :) ENJOY!
