Thundering is rumbling around outside, I am caught up on bottles being washed and water in the kettle for the bottles juuuust in case the power decides to go kaput. Garett and I played all morning and now he is kicking wildly in the bouncer (thank God they put those harnesses in or he would fly out of it) and I am watching movies and relaxing! I am putting off housework, but in the back of my mind the floors are eating away at my happiness lol. They need a good scrubbing and I would LOVE to move the couches and clean under them.

Yesterday I finally got Garett's bouncer assembled. He seriously loves sitting in it. He loves to smash at the toys, but I can't help but feel he's still a bit young for it, but the box says 4+ months and he'll be 4 months on Friday, so by all means, if he likes it, I guess it can't hurt!.

I also started a new ongoing project. I found a website via Pinterest where you can create family yearbook type things. I LOVE this idea. Choosing you favourite 800-1000 pictures each year to make into a book. Of course we will still make albums with real pictures but this ensures we always have a copy of all of our faves together without tiny prying hands stealing them all. My sister and I raided my parents photos for years, hoarding our favourites to ourselves, and I don't want that to happen to me LOL. Call it preventative measures :) I have about 100 pictures inserted already, starting from pregnancy photos until now. I can't wait to look through photos when Garett is older to smile back at the memories of the year and choose pictures to put in together!

I made the best chicken I have ever eaten in my life last night. I have this issue where EVERYTHING I eat lately unless it's spicy is super bland, I must have traumatized my taste buds somewhere along the line. But anyways, I made up this mexican chicken recipe that involves taco seasoning, jalapeno cheese and some other spices. SO good. You should have seen the size of bites Tyler was taking LOL (can anyone say OINK? hehe). On the side I opted for potatoes instead of rice since I didn't have any chicken broth to make my rice in (we got spoiled and don't like it made in plain water anymore ) and some corn!

I have never needed groceries so bad in my life. There is still lots of food meat wise to make dinners with but we have nothing for small meals, snacks and I'm running out of my greek yogurt and fruit/veggies. I was hoping to get out tonight but 1) the weather looks like crap and I don't want to get caught in a storm and 2) if the weather clears up, Tyler won't be home until 7:30 since he has a late estimate. Damn all the people that don't get home from work until late!

Ty came home with some pretty exciting news. He's now a new installer in Ottawa for EZ-Grass. While it would still cost us $70,000 at cost to do our lawn and we won't be getting it in this house at least, it is still SO cool. I never thought fake grass could look so real! The stuff he showed me was only the medium grade and I thought he was bringing in a patch of our lawn for some reason haha. Anyways, he's pretty thrilled and I am so proud of him expanding his business like this :) He is becoming quite the business man/success!!

It keeps getting darker and darker out there. I think Garett thinks it is night time, he is on his second nap and I feel like its 8:00 lol.

I am so annoyed that the last owner of our house still has mail being sent here. And it's not just junk mail (like all his Viking cruise crap), but important stuff from like Sun Life, Ministry of Transportation, Capital One, etc. Did he drop off the face of the earth and forget to tell these important people he moved? I just throw his stuff out now. I used to write "MOVED" on everything for the first 8 months or so and then when the places didn't get the memo obviously I said oh well--if they're not important to him, it's not important to me. Sorry, mister!

Last nights game Sens vs. Pens was pretty heartbreaking. We didn't play awful (even though we lost 4-1), but our issue is WAY too much time in the penalty box. Here's hoping Friday's game goes a little bit better :)

Anyways, I obviously don't have too much to talk about today. Hope everyone enjoys this gloomy day! Bring on the sun and warmer weather of the weekend!! Happy Hump Day!!!
