My Favourite Things

So I was looking through some old blogs I posted and noticed one I did with my favourite things, and you know what? Garett is sleeping so I feel like sharing again--my 2013 list of favourite things! hehe

Beauty Products:

1) Shampoo/Conditioner I love is Matrix. The smell of this is amazzzzinggg. I discovered this brand at my hair salon (which is also where I purchased it). It is great for those that use a lot of styling products, but has really kept my hair insanely soft because I don't use many heat products on my hair. This brand also makes an oil like product to put on your hair after your straighten it to keep any and all flyaways away and just seal the straightness in, so to speak lol...well it smells the same and makes your hair soft, soft, soft (AND shiny!).

2) I have 2 different types of soap I like. I like to use bar soap when I have sunburns or am in the bathtub. The soap I like to use there is Olay Luscious Embrace soap (the purple one). It smells so clean and fresh and is filled with little moisture bead like things so it leaves you feeling so soft!

In the shower, I have a new love of the new Ivory original body wash. It's based on the same formula they use in their bar soap so it's the same soap/fresh smell I love from Ivory, but it's in body wash form!! LOVE it.

3) Mouth hygiene is also important to me. I hate grimy mouths, so I like mine to feel fresh too. My favourite toothpaste is Colgate Max  Fresh with breath strips. Smells so good I wish I could swallow it haha

I also use Oral B satin floss tape that is mint flavoured. It glides in really easily. My teeth are very close together after having braces so the regular floss sometimes seems too tight in there.

Mouthwash I like is Listerine (Tyler likes the Crest mouthwash but I find it too sweet. I like the burn of Listerine). I get the Green one.

4) My favourite false eyelashes for special nights out (since I hate my natural lashes), are made by KISS. I find them the easiest to manage because they're not so *BOOM FAKE LASHES*. They look more natural :) (They don't come with glue, so you would need to buy that separately)

 5) My favourite beauty product I own is my NARS brightening serum. Yes it is insanely expensive (I paid $90 for mine at Holt Renfrew, but it lasts SO long and gives your skin a nice glow in the winter when you can't get a dewy look out in the sun). I think it's worth it because there's not many other things in the makeup case that are worth more than $40. Call it a splurge.

6) Lastly, my favourite perfume. While my old faithful is ALWAYS my go to scent because it also happens to be Ty's fave too (Givenchy Hot Couture), I have a ridiculous abundance of perfume because I am always buying them. It's an incredible waste of money but I go through phases so they do all get used. Right now, I am obsessed with Nicole Richie's perfume "Nicole". I got it on sale for $40 at Shoppers and I love the smell for summer.

Household Products: 1) My favourite cleaning product for everyday use is my Pledge multi surface spray. I use it everywhere and it smells phenomenal.

2) Air fresheners are another obsession I have and they are very seasonal to me (in the winter I like spicy smells, in the fall I like woody smells, in the spring I like linen/fresh smells and summer is a tricky time.) Right now, I am loving the lemon Room Spray from bath and body works

3) My Vileda mop. It's not a real mop, you still have to actually scrub your floors, but this is such an easy thing to use in between major floor cleanings. The pads are washable (they sell reuseable ones for I think 10 times, but this is the good cloth one I use that is good for 100 washes). You can add any cleaner solution you want in the dispenser, and the cloth traps any dirt/hair/ etc and the spray is on the floor so it also lightly cleans. LOVE it.

I guess that covers most of my day-to-day favourites! I won't touch on tv shows/movies/iproduct apps, etc because it would take forever lol :)
