Are we there yet?

Today should be nice and quiet since my boss is working from home today (and just because I said that, it won't be ), but I also got here before 7 again, so will be out a little early :)

Yesterday as I picked G up, my babysitter told me a story about my little guy the day before. When I picked him up, he was having some apple sauce, and she was letting him play with her portable phone. He was pushing buttons while we sat there talking. On our way out the door, the phone rang, and she said she would just let it go to voicemail...anyways...I guess G had actually dialed 911 and then hung up, and they were calling back. I guess the dispatch gave her some attitude whenever she finally got a hold of her, which is fine--I mean, it's their job and they probably get sick of little fingers dialing them...I guess a few minutes after we left, a police cruiser showed up laughing. He asked where the little guy was that called, but we were already gone, so he stayed and chatted and joked around with the other 2 kids there, let them see the cruiser, etc--they had a fun afternoon because of G's sticky fingers haha. Anyways, she felt better because he said not to worry about it--it happens all the time with daycares, and that he even likes making housecalls to see the kids haha...worked out well...but note to self: don't let G near phones haha.

So I'm driving up the road, chatting away to my little guy--there are a few 4 way stops on the way home. I pay alot of attention to road signs, speed limits, etc, especially when I have G in the car, so anyways--I was stopped at one 4-way stop, and I usually stop and go, but I waited another second for some reason, and out of nowhere, this big Dodge truck shot through the intersection (I would say clocking in around 110 km/hr on an 80 road) and blew right through the stop signs. I'm sure the blood drained right out of my face imagining what would have just happened to myself (and probably G at that speed and impact) had I not sat there for that extra second. I would for sure be dead right now---not a good way to relax after a day at work. I only wish I had thought enough on my toes to have glimpsed at the license--though they were going too fast, I probably wouldn't have gotten it anyways. Hopefully they didn't hurt anyone on their way home. Idiot.

So I get home and was just about to make tacos, but Tyler had ordered Chinese and was picking it up on the way home--so tacos tonight I guess!

G pulled a no nap last night, which is fine, so he ate his left over cheesy pasta, had a bit of beef and broccoli, a bit of rice and a fruit plate for dessert. Daddy had his shower, then I did a nice bath and then G definitely needed his bath after that meal. We got all cozy in bed with his bottle, laid in between us and got under the covers (cutest thing ever to watch him get comfy in bed and pull the covers up over his lap haha). He of course fell asleep--we watched Good Fella's, and I looked around for some decorating ideas and whatnot on Pinterest, put him in his crib and I was out cold by a little after 9 as well ( I think Ty wasn't far behind, but I fell asleep so fast I didn't even notice when he shut the light off haha).

I am craving McDonald's so bad today...I want it :(....luckily, it's far away and I won't be able to get it lol. Hooray for nothing being around...it's a nice day though, so I might take a walk in the Glebe at lunch, or hit up Starbucks with a co-worker, or just go grab something from the grocery store and come back...I don't know what to do lol...What I really want is to get in my car, get G and go home and snuggle all day :) lol

Another night of no packing--I am so bad at this. I have to crack down, before my anxiety gets the best of me.

With that, I will bow out for the day and get down to business! Have a wonderful hump day, everyone--and hopefully the second half of the week will go by faster than the first :)
