Light at the end of the tunnel day
My new name for Thursday is "light at the end of the tunnel day"...after a very long, busy week, I cannot wait to kick up and lay back (or not really...but the mental break will be nice!).
Yesterday was our home inspection in the morning...everything was perfect...we learned a few cool things about the house (well, Tyler did--but he relayed them to me!), and we waived our condition of home inspection yesterday. Mortgage should be through today and hopefully waive by tomorrow morning! THEN the exciting part---the SOLD sign!! :) We will officially be second time home buyers aka. I will think I know everything about real estate for a good 5 months.
Saturday is our good friend's (and Tyler's business partner for the Kessel Run) 40th birthday . FORTY....it's a big one...and they are celebrating in a big way :)
During the day is a family/kids event at a park nearby, where there is a bunch of fun things for the littles. We will attend this together as a family. I will then head home and nap my little dude, get him fed, play etc, while Tyler attends the evening/bbq portion before coming home :)
It's also a stag and doe for our friends brother/brother in law, but we won't be able to make it :( Would have been a good time, and I am sure with our friends involved, the event will be amazing!
Monday night, my family gets to see our brand spanking new (new to us) home! I feel that 8 humans in a home (any home ) may make it look a little smaller than remembered, but...the small price to pay to introduce them to where we will be spending at least the next few years!...Also, this is the night the sold sign will go up on both homes..so stay tuned for pictures of us with the signs--and possibly of the house..who knows ;)
A couple birthdays in the mix this week as well :)
This morning is going by at a pretty good speed, which I am grateful for!..Tyler might be picking me up to go for sushi at lunch (since none of his friends will go with him anymore because his addiction is out of control--it's all he wants to go out and eat haha)...there's a really good place a few blocks from here, so if he is in the area, we will hit that up :) If not...I think it's "Greek explosion " sandwich day in the cafe downstairs...those are magical words. (cucumber, onion, tomato, grilled chicken, tzatziki sauce on a warm/soft naan bread wrap, all warmed up in tinfoil)...omg my mouth is watering!
....he's texting me about sushi now....looks like that might be the winner lol
Anyways..hope everyone has a wonderful day (looks like the rain MIGHT hold off here...though they were calling for more), and enjoy the cooler temps. I heard on the news last night, the thermometer hasn't hit 30 degrees (without humidex) since June....robbed of summer much? UGH...bring back the heat! (though I do love that I get to wear a sweater today because the office is cold too always haha).
Cheers!
Amy
