Garett's Future Room

There isn't much I love more than imagining all the possibilities this new house has to offer--especially the possibilities of decorating. So I have set out to do one room at a time and pick pieces I absolutely love, that are of very good quality that can see us through the next little while, and that can grow with our family--it truly is an investment to have a house that meets all your needs.

Today, I bring you my future favourite room in a house--my little boys room :) And since he is the bomb (spoken like a mother lol), his room should be also! From the bottom to the top :)

First, I present to you his Mocha wall colour, which I love because it's neutral and we can change the decor at any given time if he somehow learns to declare "I WANT MY ROOM THOMAS!!!" haha

Next item, which we have all seen, and my favourite pieces of furniture: His crib and shelves--well his shelf is also a hutch top that can come off and be a bookshelf--but I like how masculine and monstrous the piece looks all assembled together as the hutch :)

Hanging from the ceiling, lighting up the darkness will be this stylish yet neutral ceiling light

His bedding--oh his bedding--I just love it, and it is so grown up looking :( I have discovered through this process that I am VERY picky right now with his stuff--I don't want any discernable theme until he picks one when he's a bit older, and I don't want any cutesy things--just typical boy looking stuff I like, I guess you could say!

Above his bed, I want a sign made that spells out his name in a really funky way and put onto a big plank, like so!...except with the right name and colours of my choosing:)

Also on the walls:
Two strands of these cool star strands with hooks to house all his wicked cool drawings and crafts from daycare and rainy days inside at home :)

These hooks to hang coats and hats

These cool pictures on planks, that I know he would love looking at (pointing at and yelling things--since it's his fav thing ever right now haha)

I am going to switch the knob on his closet door to be something like this, because it's super cute and cool
And for the Floor:

A new chair for his room to replace mommy's glider--a big boy chair with his name.

A cool toy box (I love this wicker one), where he can get in and out of it himself without my help opening the lid.

A hamper for all the laundry he creates!

And some baskets to hold all the random balls and awkward shaped things!
Can't wait to start !: )
