FRIDAY!!!
Well, here I am! I get off on these tangents in life and totally forget about blogging!
Right now, I am acting in a higher position at work until Oct 22, so I haven't had much time to write. Things have slowed down a bit since it's Friday afternoon, so I am going to kick my feet up (metaphorically) and relax for a few minutes while I eat my lunch (at 1:20 PM). Things have been going really well on the work front though--I love my job :)
As everyone knows, we had listed our house last week---the same day the listing went up, we had one showing the first night and then 3 more slated for the following day. The people on the first night were in our house for over an hour, so we finally got settled in. The next day I decided to head out to visit with my family since we had to be gone for 3 hours (and Tyler went to work). I was off on vacation, so it didn't matter to me! Before anyone even stepped foot into our house that day, we had an offer from the first couple that went through...wow...that was quick...I heard the offer, went home and talked to Ty. We countered and they accepted our counter within the hour. When they accepted, we were on our way into town to pick a few things up, so our realtor emailed the paperwork over (he was also on vacation lol) and we filled that in and sent it off! Woohoo! 12 hours after the sign went up....That must be some kind of record?
But since it was a conditional sale based on home inspections (they came two days ago to do it), we still had those three couples go through and another one or two have gone through since. I can't wait for everything to be solidified, sold sign to go up and not have to keep the house spotless, just in case anymore!! I don't know how people with kids, selling a house for 5 months do it. It'll drive you bonkers if you let it!!
So in between that stuff, we have been trying to see some houses. We have one in our back pocket that we agree on. We both like it alot, but we are hesitant to put an offer on it--I guess that means it's not really for us...but...I would be happy there if it came down to it and we had to buy a place...NOTHING else (and I mean nothing) has even been appealing to us...we looked at one the other night and I came home and cried...not good.
So Sunday, we will be childless and we will blast through 12 houses. Our agent booked us back to back for a few hours to see a ton of houses (easier to go through when both of us can focus on the house and not keeping little man from touching, climbing, etc). We added every house we even remotely liked to the list, and who knows! Maybe Sunday will be the day :) We are hoping to push some paperwork through for something early next week, but if we don't find it, we don't find it. I won't settle and I don't want to be robbed either--money is better in my pocket than theirs!
Tonight I think we are just planning to relax, maybe order in and watch a movie (PS, we bought Frozen and I am obsessed lol). The rest of the weekend is proving to be FILLED to the brim, so I am going to enjoy it. Maybe I will take our foot spa for a whirl :)
