I love a rainy night...errr...day

There is just something SO cozy about days like this. I also don't feel bad about coming in to work on these days since there's nothing better to do when its gloomy outside anyways!

Yesterday Ty went to work for a bit in the morning, but with the rain it was an early day, so he took the opportunity to take G to the doctor's for his 18 month checkup (which was a little late because our doctor was on holidays), and worked out well that it was a Tuesday, since that's the only day the nurse is in to give the little ones their shots :)

Ty said he took the needle like a big boy--pouted a little bit, but no theatrics. She did the normal check-up as well (weighing, measuring , etc) and he is in the 50th percentile for weight, and 90th for height. Definitely has daddy's build--lucky kid! haha She also placed him on a development chart (for things like jumping with two feet, climbing up on things, etc, etc) at 24 months--she said he is advanced by a few months--must have been all the vitamins and omega 3's I took while pregnant--Or he is just lucky and inherited all of my brains!! (hahaha)

So all in all, that was a successful appointment, I would say :) Glad all those needles are done until 2 years...I hated having to bring him every few weeks for needles :( Poor kid is going to learn to hate that place!

I ordered some scentsy stuff back on July 22...and she said my stuff would be in in a week....still waiting...I'm getting impatient. She said she held off on the order for a few days since some other people wanted in on it, but a month now??? GIVE ME MY STUFF! :(

Last night, like I had mentioned yesterday, a couple came by to see my extra dining table....she gets there and says --"Oh I didn't think it was so tall"...even though I told her the height, and that it was a "pub style table" before she came...took all my strength not to tell her "thanks for wasting my time" when she said sorry for the intrusion....I deal with enough adults on a daily basis that pay little to no attention to detail or instruction--I don't need it leaking into my home life too lol

Once she left, we had some pasta and it was very early to bed (G had only napped 45 minutes yesterday)---I think we were all down by 8:10.

Also glad about this rain because our inspection on our new place is at 10AM today, so I guess we will find out even better if any water comes in! lol I was wrong when I said we had until Monday to waive our conditions--it's actually Friday--I counted the days wrong :). So by the weekend, it'll be ours! woohoo!

Yesterday, I chatted with the buyers of our house on facebook (now that everything is done, I can reach out to her :))...I just said pretty much congrats on the purchase, and that we hope they enjoy the house as much as we have, and that I wish for them as many good memories for them as it gave us. Then it bloomed into a chat about getting together after everyone has moved, etc, since we will be so close together--would be nice to have friends in the neighbourhood, that's for sure!

16 days until we fly to Windsor for our anniversary! Can't wait :)

This post is getting really random, I feel. I can't stop yawning, and I have 45 emails since last night to catch up on...so, on that note...have a fabulous hump day!!
