Closet Obsession
This weekend was jam packed full of family time. It was nice :) It was so hot yesterday though, I'm surprised my skin didn't melt off...but I will hold my tongue with the complaining, because we have less than a month left of "summer", and the trees by my house are already turning all shades of orange and falling....noooo...though I am looking forward to the brief period where we can wear sweaters and scarves (before the winter boots and big coats again).
I didn't do much packing (See: Any) this weekend, or planning for the new house. The only thing I was thinking about was getting there to organize. The idea of every nook and cranny in my house being organized and perfect excites me...God, I am getting so old sounding haha. With the exception of a few rooms in the house where G will always be, and I realise at that point it's all I can do to keep it clean, let alone tidy--other places are safe from his little curious hands.
Linen closet--the house I am in now has a serious lack of storage. One thing I didn't realise I would miss so much was a linen closet. For real...they are amazing, and I will never allow myself to live through the ordeal of not having one ever again.
Baskets, immaculate folding, no ugly packaging . This is how I am going to make it look. And then sometimes, I will just open the door to take in the OCD perfection (and the smell of fresh laundry--because isn't that the best thing about linen closets?)
Above the doors, I want something similar to this (sorry for the bad picture). A little wall decal or wooden lettering that say "Laundry"
Inside, another meticulous space. With baskets, a folding shelf, and shelves for storage--though I will likely have my detergent in nice glass drink dispensers (Remember, I want no ugly packaging? lol)

The other big double doored beauty in our upstairs hallway is the "laundry closet". It houses our brand new beautiful front load washer and dryer, and will be my favourite thing in the house I think--having upper level laundry. This will cut a lot of heartache out of my life. I am beyond excited!

I am also excited that this is a 4 day week for me. So technically, today is Tuesday (lol), and another 4 day week next week because of the long weekend. Nervous about the flights, but excited to be in Windsor for our third anniversary :)
Hope this Monday morning is treating everyone well!!
