Here comes the Sun again

I am happy to be back to work today, happy to be done with driving for a few hours, and happy that I have a short break in acting (start again on the 28th) to catch up on emails and taskings. (When I can scroll through my inbox for a while, it gives me anxiety, and my inbox currently is out of control!!!!)

This weekend wasn't so busy , but it did involve ALOT of driving around.

Friday night Tyler played a short gig for one of his aunts-boyfriends-nephews surprises stag and doe. He was home by midnight, so it wasn't too bad at all :) Garett was winding down his day by the time he left, so he didn't miss much.

I had bought the season pass of the new Teen Mom and thought I would binge watch after garett went to bed at 8...so out came my snacks, my ipad, and i cuddled up in bed....lo and behold, the internet was being a meanie, and buffering every 30 seconds..So I said "forget this" and just cruised around online looking at Pinterest and whatnot until I passed out.

Saturday we all slept in a bit, got up, and hung out playing in the house (since it was raining and gloomy). Around 2:30, we packed up and headed into town to the Andrew Haydon Park (off of Carling)--for those of you that know where we live, this is a far drive haha. It was one of our good friend's 40th birthdays (Tylers business partner for Kessel Run), and we knew they would be announcing their exciting news of their baby that's on the way! (Though we have known for some time, we wanted to be there to share that moment with them :) ).

It wasn't raining lots by this point (more of a mist, or off and on rain). Luckily they had booked out the big pavilion for people to sit under and eat/visit, but there was a lso a huge park there, and Canadian Goose galore, so Garett had a field day! He wore his "BOO" as he calls them (boots)and a nice warm outfit with a rain coat and chased those little geese around like there;s no tomorrow (obviously with me and daddy chasing behind in case any of them acted out). He owned the play ground for a while..one was a big wooden pirate ship, and he was at the wheel--3 older boys (maybe 10) came up and Garett hissed at them (his new thing when he sees other kids), and they all ran away hahaha....great...my kid hisses at people. Way to make friends, bud! Oh well :)

Once he was done there, we all had a big bbq (they did burgers and hot dogs), and jeff opened his jacket to reveal his "Greatest Dad Ever" tshirt--the look on his moms face was priceless. Everyone was so happy for them (she is 4 months along now and they find out the gender on sept 17). What a beautiful message on a dreary day.

We left right after we sang happy birthday--G was tuckered out and was passing out in his stroller (I took him for a walk around the paths to calm him down after the playing, hot dogs, abundance of juice..) and he was out cold in two seconds in the car.

Once we got home, Ty went out to the store to grab some yummy stuff (chicken wings, coleslaw, salad, and snacks for after). Garett napped until 8:15, so we had time to eat and watch the entire movie "Dead Poets Society" that we bought on apple tv.

We woke the munchkin up, played around a bit, but he was back in bed a little before 10 and slept, slept, slept (holy, our kid much?? lol)

Sunday we were up around 8 (another sleep in day) , and we loaded everything up around 9, went into town and had breakfast at Broadways in Orleans. We stopped in at Granny's (Ty's mom) and visited for a bit. We had a few errands to run, so G stayed there for 25 minutes while we ran across the street to get what we needed. We visited a bit more when we got back and headed home since it was time for you know who's nap (G and Tyler).

The rest of the day, we just lounged around (another overcast/on and off rain day).

I am so excited for tonight--my family is coming down to see our new house (and it'll be G's first time seeing his new home too :) ). Less than a month until moving--let's see if I can wait! I am thankful so far that they haven't taken the mls listing off the site yet, because that means I can look at it anytime I want! haha

Today looks bright--I think the sun is finally here to stay (for today at least) :) Looking forward to a relaxed day--getting out on time for once, and catching up on lots of stuff!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful monday:)
