Fall is here!
While to me fall means cozy outfits, being able to straighten my hair without the fear of frizz, pumpkin everything, baking, comfort food, beautiful colours outside the window and hot chocolate under a blanket with a new book...
To Garett it means no more sandals, no more running comfy and free in his little swimmers diapers outside, no more shorts and tshirts being the only barrier between him and the car seat strap. This brings complicated mornings to mommy and daddy, and more hectic errands--getting him bundled up, getting it all off in the store, and bundled up again. Making sure his mitts, socks, hat, etc aren't wet and cold for him to wear, etc,etc,etc...this weather is a headache. Move to the Islands with us, anyone?
So naturally, I went on a shopping spree. I had already bought most of his fall stuff, but I wanted some more winter clothing...then I also went nuts on a new snow suit and snow boots, any and all kinds of mitts/gloves, hats, scarves/neck warmers, socks, fall boots, etc etc etc...Hopefully it fits him for the remainder of fall/winter anyways, though he's not getting too big anytime soon :) ...Gap, Old Navy, Children's Place, Oshkosh, The Bay...all places I went nuts online. I can't wait :) 1) I love getting parcels in the mail and 2 ) I LOVE LOVE LOVE when they are things for Garett.
Our clothes for our fall photoshoot (most of them) came in the mail yesterday, and I tossed my stuff aside to see Garett's outfit. I can't wait for the coat and hat to get here from the Gap to add to the rest from Children's Place :) He is going to look like such a cool dude.
Tyler's new coat came in the mail too for the shoot...he loves it. It's all I can do to keep him out of it and not wear it everywhere. Him and G will be pretty matchy I think, but mine is obviously different, since I don't wear mens clothes haha.
Ty fixed my car last night when he got home (yay!) good as new :)
I made dinner, we cleaned a bit more, did our nightly routine and hit the hay.
I have a dentist appointment on October 30, so I am getting real serious now haha..I usually floss one every other day, and I know they ALWAYS yell at me when that's all I do, so I've committed to flossing each night, and doing a much more time consuming brush in the morning and before bed with my awesome Phillips Sonicare electric toothbrush (Ty's oral b is jealous of my phillips hah)...followed by 45 seconds of mouthwash swishing (hello, burn off all my tastebuds). If I hear one negative comment out of her mouth this time, I will know it's a set up!! I seek their approval and any underhanded comments devastate me lol. I sense I might have the starting of a cavity, but I'm not sure if it's just thinning enamel? I don't know what a cavity feels like (I've never had one), but the fear of needles and fillings has kept me in line for 28 years. haha (Only someone getting older would be able to talk this much about a dentist appointment..sorry).
We got some bad news last night from a close friend. Him and his family are in my thoughts today.
I set up a girls dinner on Oct 17. I have that weekend "off" to do whatever I please. Ty had originally said for me to go away for the weekend, but I just don't want to do that. A couple hours here and there out of the house are just as fun and refreshing to me :) So the Friday after work, we are going for dinner to Moxie's in Orleans, and Saturday will be a shopping/pedi day. I am pretty excited!!
One more day! One more day of work before the long weekend :) Have a wonderful day everyone!
