TGI-Girls Dinner Day!

This week has been crazy!! Trying to stuff 5 days of work into 4 days is a crazy thought, and errands don't run themselves either! I think I can actually feel the resentment my laundry feels towards me as it piles up...sorry clothes, I really do love you :( And my heart broke just a little when my favourite jeans weren't available to wear this morning. The struggle is real!

Another glorious morning though! I woke up 5 minutes early, had time to straighten my hair, get ready and still made it out the door with 3 extra minutes, somehow! I had a smoothe ride in, and the jerk in my parking garage that always steals my spot wasn't there yet, so I got my favourite spot this morning :)

I was feelin' good about it being Friday. Then I come face to face with the door that leads onto my floor. We need ID cards to get onto our floors at work, and as I swiped mine, and the beep went off, I tugged on the door. That little green light was staying red. What the heck?? Around the corner I go to try another door.. Same thing. Ok..so at this point the thought of getting back in the elevator and going home was the first thought that ran through my mind. Not being able to get into work is some kind of sign, right? haha...Anyways, I made my way in by waiting for the one person whose card DID work this morning (turns out it's the entire building, not just me having the issue today haha).

On the upside, it's pretty busy and am happy that it is already 9:34 :)

Tonight is the night I get to sit and relax and enjoy a dinner (and a glass of wine). A few of us girls are going to eat at Moxies. I love this place--nice restaurant, well-priced and even though it's always packed, everyone is always smiling and no matter how loud it gets, they worked the acoustics out just-so so that it never seems to be as loud as it really is.

I don't have anything in particular I need to talk about/get off my chest, but it's nice to catch up and see where everyone is at, what they are up to, etc :) I'm going with the intention of trying something new off the menu (I usually have one of two things here), and possibly even indulge in a dessert since I can't have more than one glass of wine, as I am driving!

Tomorrow I get to restock my Bath and Body Works supply! I mean I have probably 15 soaps left still, but they are all summer scents--I need fall and winter smells and some more of that aromatherapy bath line, which we are totally out of right now :(

Our costumes were in one of the boxes last night, and mine..the dress seems a litttllleee bit short (alot short). What is the deal?? Why must every womans costume be "sexy" this and "sexy" that...I just want to look like the normal character! Geez. G didn't have time to try his on, but we will do that this weekend. I'm sure Ty's will be really short on him, but it's halloween--you should look kind of silly anyways I think (especially if you're a grown man dressing up hah).

There was a funnel cloud that developed about 5 minutes up the highway from us. The rain and wind were out of control --and being a weather freak, I knew that that weather yesterday was prime for low hanging clouds, which can cause weak funnel clouds and weather bursts. I was scared, so we played in the basement for a while before dinner until the rain stopped. I kept an eye on the clouds for another hour or so (until it was too dark--and I felt better because night tornadoes are very rare). It's so late in the season for weather like that, but with the warm weather we have been having it wasn't over surprising :(
Here's hoping the weather changes and the whole "rain all weekend" thing isn't true. I want our pictures done, but not bad enough to get rained on for them!

Keeping an eye out right now on good deals for snow pants/coat for myself. Now that G is a bit older, he will likely enjoy skating, sledding, building snowmen. So because of this, I need some good winter gear.

On that note (talking about snow), I better get out of here before lightning strikes me down for mentioning winter haha. Hope everyone has a fun filled Friday and are looking forward to kicking your feet up on the weekend!
