I've never been happier to see Friday
This has really just been one of those weeks. I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing me complain about how fed up I am with this week. I'm tired. I'm cranky. I'm more whiney than the almost 2 year old that calls me mommy...
Last night though was a good one. I was alone last night, and I was terrified--first night alone in a new, bigger house is a little off-putting. However, when push came to shove and it was time for bed, I didn't even hesitate. Maybe it's because this house isn't haunted (I stand by the opinion that my other house had ghosts).
I left work around 2, and headed into Mr. Lube to get my oil changed and a flush of some sort. So I was right on time picking G up (between waiting there and traffic, it was still 3:45 when I got there).
We got home, he had his bottle laying down and then didn't nap (obviously). So he got up and we played and cleaned--emptied the dishwasher, emptied the dryer, made him his dinner, went for a walk to get the mail (yay my new clothes came), and went home for a bath. After his bath, we laid in bed and watched Toopy and Binoo and cuddled. He was ready for bed by 8:15ish, so I proceeded to take my shower, get my stuff ready for the morning, set my alarm and took in the season finale of Teen Mom on my appletv account. (Good episode, not a super exciting finale).
Right after that, I shut the tv off, checked my work phone, checked FB and passed out!
I set my alarm for 5:45 this morning, since I needed that extra bit of time having to bring G to daycare. He was there by 6:30, and I was on the road for work.
Today is the last day for the cafe in my building under current owners. I will miss them--they are the sweetest little couple, but they are well into their 60's, have a cluster of medical problems and need a rest. I went down for breakfast at 8 with a co-worker. I will probably grab a little something at lunch too, just to say goodbye...but will definitely miss their smiles and conversation each time I go down.
This weekend will be fairly quiet, I am hoping. My friend is coming over to keep us company tonight--we will order pizza and watch a movie. I'm hoping to get G's haircut this weekend as well, and have a visit from some family.
I am debating not participating in Hallowe'en this year. Obviously we will hand out candle and whatnot--and do the pumpkin carving, and watch the Charlie Brown special I bought on bluray last year, but dressing up for me...I feel like this year I couldn't be bothered. I'll see what I decide to get for G (I am so far behind, I am starting to panic), and take it from there.
The other day I put in another scentsy order--all the fall and winter stuff is out, and I am feeling like I'm needing some spicy/savoury/sweet smells in my house with the weather shift, and not so fresh and clean...I love those smells, they just aren't cozy!
These are the two new plug in warmers I got myself :)
Next weekend is the big day for Ty's business! The media, the Mayor of Ottawa, and some big "league of superheroes" and some other group are going to be in attendance. Should be fun for them. G and I will go by at some point, but definitely won't be staying long.
I would really like to thank the delivery men that delivered the box with our shed materials in it, and left it pretty well in the middle of the driveway. thanks. Oh and it's supposed to rain before Ty gets back, so I'm not sure what to do so the 635lb (yes, that's not a typo) box doesn't get destroyed, along with the instructions inside..I know I should probably tarp it ..but...who are we kidding? I don't know where that is, how to anchor it down, etc. I might just leave it...maybe don't have something delivered when you're going out of town next time :)
Only 9:37 AM..come on Friday, hurry up and finish!
Hope everyone has a good weekend!!
