Rainy Thursday

I had the best morning.

I had a glorious nights sleep.
I got ready in record time.
I had a full tank of gas, so didn't need to stop on the way to work.
I beat the traffic and got to work early.
I caught up on HR and Budget work that I was about a week behind on because of other priorities.

Then...oh, then...I was going to go downstairs for some chocolate milk, pushed the button to the elevator, and as the doors opened, *EE-EE-EE-EE-EE* goes the fire alarm, and the elevator doors slam shut in my face. Ok--to the stair well to go down 7 flights of stairs, no big deal. Oh...then we have to go across the street, you say? Yes. I was standing huddled under a tree in the pouring rain, with no coat or umbrella (since I wasn't expecting to go outside). 20 minutes later, I was looking like a drowned rat, and we got the signal to go back in.

So this afternoon should be fun in soaked blouse and dress pants with really soggy high heels.

I'm going to eat chicken fingers for lunch to make it a little better :)

I picked up three parcels from the post office last night, and never got a chance to open them. I am excited to get home to rip them all open, like Christmas morning ! I'm sure it's just all of G's new winter gear and our Halloween costumes. Not super exciting, but still fun to tear into boxes :)

On a side note, speaking of  G..can I just say this kid is potty training himself!? Hello, baby genius (err...toddler genius..but he's still my baby :))
Not only has he voluntarily peed on the potty two other times, but the other night, he came over to me, grabbed my hand and stated "Pee!" and escorted me up to the washroom, pulled off his diaper, sat on his potty and peed. Suddenly, looking up at me from that potty was not a little 21 month old, but the biggest little boy I have ever seen in my life :( He is rewarded with his little pedialyte freezies he loves so much (or cheese lol). I can't imagine the excitement that will happen with his first poo on the potty--he will get any toy he wants! haha *End bragging about my son*

I hope everyone enjoys this rainy day--makes me wish I had stayed home to make some stew or cabbage rolls! --feels like a comfort food day. Anyone know someone that wants to cook for me and clean my house for free? lol
