This was a much faster week for me than most of you I think lol..Tuesday I was at work, but the last two days I have been off. Wednesday Ty and I were in town bright and early for my 9:30 appointment for my follow up colposcopy--apparently my results from the last one came back normal (Thanks to Riverside hospital for not telling me and making me wait 8 months to find this out lol) and then we got down to business. They were "observing me" and said that had I not been pregnant they probably would have taken a biopsy yesterday--things are looking different but they said it's definitely not cancer or anything--but to come back after I have the baby and they'll look again as it could just be from all the hormones in my body and this is how my body is reacting to it. I fully expect the next one to be normal again since I haven't really changed anything in my life style to make things act up again...fingers crossed :) Either way, not a big deal...however, as I was laying there totally exposed to the three people staring down at me, the fire alarm starts blaring through the hospital. greaaatttt!! This is just my luck! lol...They continue to talk to me like nothing is happening (I heard nothing they were telling me for those few minutes lol) and they finally left the room for me to get dressed. I went out into the waiting room to see if Ty was still there (was wondering if they had sent them outside) but he was there--standing right by the door, not happy lol..apparently as soon as the alarm sounded they closed off all the doors and wouldn't let him back there to get me...not a happy camper..anyways..hospitals apparently don't evacuate until the fire is totally out of control...we had to stay there for about 10 extra minutes listening to their fire person explaining the drill (which is all it was apparently) and we got to witness first hand how little the staff at the Riverside actually know about their emergency procedures--that's scary!! Hopefully for their sakes and the patients, nothing dire ever happens! After that, we headed to our favourite place in Orleans for breakfast and stopped in at the store on the way back into Embrun to grab some necessities (milk, eggs, etc) and went home. I was feeling very crampy and sluggish for the rest of the day so I took a long nap and just relaxed. Thursday morning I was up early and did a few dishes and got ready for my other appointment with my family doctor at 1:00..I got there a bit early so she took me right away--I was there just to get my Glucose Tolerance Test results back--everything is normal--no gestational diabetes for this girl lol. We listened to the heart beat, checked my blood pressure, weighed me, measured my uterus, etc--same old and she gave me my "walking papers" and sent me on my way with lots of luck and excitement to see me next with the baby :) Got a little ahead of myself and called Dr. McCarthy as soon as I got home to book my appointments with him but apparently my doctors office books them lol..oops :)My doc said I will see him around 32 weeks--which is 2 weeks from now--so looking forward to that!! I am still very much a noob when it comes to Ottawa even though I have lived here for almost 10 years now lol...I had no idea the General (where I'm delivering) was right next to Cheo! Score!! That makes me feel 6000000 times better--not that I think (and even pray we don't) need that place, it is comforting to know the baby has the best care available if something goes wrong! :) Once I got home I just lounged around again--really did nothing all afternoon! I needed the break from life, it felt good--especially with all the work that I need to do this weekend! Tonight I have to grab all the stuff I need to make chili and appetizers for Ty's bbq tomorrow night..I'll probably do up a ham ball tonight and make the devilled eggs--tomorrow mornign I'll throw the stuff in the crock pot for the chili to cook all day and get stuff ready for the bruschetta and macaroni salad, etc...plus I need to change all the bed sheets and just do a quick sweep/mop of the hosue and a quick pass of the vaccuum in the basement and catch up on the laundry and puttingi t away (this horrible vicious cycle of laundry that I HATE). Sunday Ty has paintball so I may find something else to do--or just sleep in and get some Christmas shopping in :) Hope you all have a wonderful Friday (feels like Monday to me lol) and enjoy your weekends!!!
