Yay! Welcome to November everyone! I think this weekend we "fall back"? Definitely looking forward to that extra hour in the AM--and I am working 9-5 next week so I'll have what feels like an extra 2 hours in the morning. Yay! :) Yesterday I stayed home--I think I got too much sleep the night before and woke up feeling more exhausted then when I went to bed so I called into work and shut off my alarm and went back to sleep for an hour. When I woke up I felt amazing so I got my grocery list together and headed out to the store around 9. I was SO dead in there, which is what I love--probably helped my case that it was raining and no one wants to go out in that :) I got home, cleaned out the fridge, put the groceries away and chopped up some veggies and threw them in with a pork roast and let that simmer for the day. I had bought ice cream and that air can of real whipped cream so I decided to make some brownies so we could have brownies a la mode for dessert mmm. Anyways--two birds, one stone--then I had dinner and my lunch for the next day made :) Once that was done I sat down and caught up on Keeping up with the Kardashians and Jerseylicious and threw some laundry in and folded a bunch more. Ty is in the middle of redoing the caulking in the bathroom since the people before us must have smoked in there, turned it all yellow and there was way TOO much of it so he put the softener stuff on and spent most of the day in and out of there scraping it off--there is a huge pile of it on the floor and he's not even done. YUCK. Better him then me :) We want to paint the shelves in there to add a bit of colour before he redoes it and I may want to change the towel rack but it looks like they may have cemented it to the tiles themselves UGH He went out and cleaned the garage up nice too--put up some shelves and boot racks (though I am putting a little mudroom area up in there with hooks and baskets and stuff to keep our winter stuff out of the way in the house) but it looks really good in there for now :) He also bought a nice big stand up heater for the garage so when he has people over that smoke, they can go out there and open the back door instead of standing on the front deck freezing to death. Comes in handy for his cigar nights too :) Once we were done all of our cleaning and organizing, we settled in and got ready for the kids--put the candy out, etc. The first one came around 6:30 and the last one around 7 LOL..we got 9 kids this year--beat last year by 1!..They were all so cute! We definitely live in a little kids neighbourhood! We had two first timers (one was a strawberry and one was a tiger)..SO cute and the rest were about 5-6 years old--some princesses, a witch, spiderman, etc..typical costumes but adorable nonetheless :) I love halloween! Can't wait for it to get even more fun in the coming years!! We discussed last night in between kiddies what our tradition for Halloween would be--we talked about what we each did as kids and I think we came to a good solution :) Also, I think we have decided on a name :) We're still not committing to anything but we are really feeling Garrett--we haven't given up on Anders quite yet--if nothing else, we'll keep it for the next little man we have (if we do :)) because I am so,so, SO attached to it still lol. Anyways, I am going to try to get up to Cornwall this weekend at some point (maybe Sunday, but no guarentees) for a quick visit and to grab the rest of our pictures to share :)If not, I'll get up there eventually LOL Cake topper for the shower came in yesterday :) It's SO adorable, I am excited to see it on my cake :) I got a square bottom with fondant stripes in blue and brown and a circular top layer with polka dots..then she's making some blocks along the bottom of the cake to say it's a boy or something..she's the same lady that did my wedding cake so I'm excited to see it since she's so good AND eat it. She makes the best cakes I've ever tasted lol. I would die to have her recipe! Tonight I have to decide what to wear tomorrow night and lay my outfit out since I won't have time to sort through everything AND get ready when I get home. I am so excited for the show!! Beauty and the Beast was always one of my favourite disney movies--I can't wait to see it come to life in Broadway form! The costumes and the spectacle of it all is indescribable!! Hope everyone enjoys their Thursday! Let's get this day over with so we can get to the weekend already! yahooo!
