I hate Monday mornings! Especially after a weekend of practically no sleep! Friday, I headed home and made some deviled eggs and two ham balls and started cleaning (which wasn't much actually) and finishing up the laundry while Ty organized his office. Then I got caught up in keeping up with my episodes of keeping up with the kardashians lol..jersey shore, jerseylicious, mob wives, etc..before I knew it, it was 1 am and I was still awake--oops! Saturday morning I woke up around 6:30 to throw the chili in the slow cooker, make bruschetta, cut up the fresh bread, and make the macaroni salad and get the table all set up and ready and put the laundry away. Amber came over around 1 to hang out for a bit before everyone arrived for Ty's party--they started coming around 3. I will say it went well--much better than last year (no broken chairs LOL) and the guys were pretty calm and clean until around 10 when the calmer ones all left to go home to their kids and wives (lol) and the real army men (literally--they are all in the army lol) stayed and started drinking and getting messy--there is chili all over the kitchen counter at this point, chips crushed into my carpet in the basement, sticky drinks spilled on the bar and spots on the carpet, dirty cups, plates, utensils, bottles everywhere (basement, living room, kitchen, outside, garage, etc)...Ty has a hefty amount of cleaning ahead of him :) I tried to keep up with the mess but I just couldn't and since it wasn't my party, I don't plan on continuing to clean up after it. We threw on Hamburger Hill (war movie) around 1:45am and I headed to bed around 3 when it was nearly done. Ty came up about 10 minutes after me and I was up almost all night dealing with listening to the guys still awake in the basement, one of them came up and was in the bathroom for almost an hour with the loud fan on, then those boys were all up at 6:30 so I was up from then on. I was just absolutely exhausted and irritable beyond belief. Tyler and the boys headed out to their paintball training day (the other guys left around 8--ty left at 9:30) so I went to the basement and watched some 16 and pregnant. Ty was texting me to meet him at his moms around 1:30 for an early supper (he was supposed to help Terry with the basement and Dolly and Peggy were apparently playing games)..I was not very receptive since he wanted me to drive into town and I was flat out exhausted. I said no..then I said well I'll wear pjs..and then I said I'll just meet them for supper at 4...he wasn't receptive to the lateness and made me feel bad lol..so I headed into town around 1 after a quick shower...I get to Peggy's and Tyler's Aunt Charlene is in the driveway---suspicion sets in. Then I see Tyler's truck clearly isn't there when he said he would be there at 1. I text him..he says he's at Lowe's and will be back in a few. I walk in the door and I see some balloons hanging (I managed to sneak up a bit and can hear "Amy's here" through the screen door lol)..so they yelled surprise and managed to surprise me but not so much so that I cried or turned beat red or anything since my suspicion had already taken over lol I'm not quite sure just how many people came but there was many..scattered in the kitchen/dining area and living room..I plopped my butt down in the chair and didn't move for most of the afternoon. There was so much delicious food and laughter-it was a great way to spend a Sunday. I'm glad I went :) We got SO many goodies--all I wanted to do today was stay home and organized it all/put it away..but it's still sitting there and I'll go through some of it tonight--I need to make a list of thank you cards to mail and whatnot as well for them so I'll try to do that next week after my other shower is done too! Big thanks again to everyone for coming and for the gifts and love and to Peggy and Doll for hosting!! :) I went home and watched some tv before bed and were sleeping by 9...but what a horrible sleep. Ty and I were both up tossing and turning SO much and both got up right before 6 to get ready for work. So this could prove to be a very long Monday! lol Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and have a quick painless week lol
