What a whirlwind of a "long" weekend!! It's amazing how quickly 3 days can pass when it's not work days LOL. Friday I headed home an hour early since no one was even left in the office--I am so happy I chose to do this since I did have to stop for groceries. So I ended up getting home around the same time as if I had stayed until 5! I put all the groceries away and cooked dinner and we hung out and relaxed for most of the evening. Tyler had had the accountant over that day for a few hours so we discussed that for a bit and headed to bed! Saturday morning I wanted to sleep in a bit. FAIL! lol..I was up by 6:45 and so, I ended up cleaning--I put away the 5 loads of laundry I had just caught up on and swept and mopped the house and put away the dishes I had done the night before. My parents told me they wouldn't be over until sometime after 3 so I just slowly got stuff ready for the day so I was never rushing :) I peeled the potatoes and soaked them in water so they wouldn't change colour and I made up the hamburgers and chopped the ends off all the green beans and put them in their water and cut up all the stuff for the burgers. I cooked up a big breakfast around 11 and around 12:30 Peggy and Terry came by for a couple hours to visit for a bit. They headed out to stop at Dolly's and I continued to get things ready for the evening--I showered and then made the loaded mashed and started up the beans. My parents and sister/bro-in-law arrived shortly after 4. Ty started up the grill and we were eating very soon after--I was too hungry to visit for too long before eating lol. Dinner was good--and after, we showed everyone what Ty has been busy doing with the house and sat and watched golf stuff (dads choice lol) in the basement for a bit before they decided to hit the road!After they left, we caught up on the dishes and cleaned up a bit. We headed to bed shortly after (Tyler had wanted to go out somewhere but I was way too tired from the day and he was more tired than he thought too apparently because he was asleep before me! lol). Sunday we got up early also and lounged-Ty played video games on his computer and I caught up on some PVR junk :) At 11, we turned on the Remembrance Day celebrations taking place in downtown Ottawa--watched all of that and the Veteran's Parade and then continued on lounging :) Amber came over around 1:30 for a visit and to catch up after her trip to Bermuda! It was a nice visit :) Sab and Jamie stopped in quickly to pick up a glass rack Ty was giving them for their bar and caught up for a bit--after they left Amber and I headed to the Dollar store (where nothing but chocolate bars and a pair of antlers for the cats was purchased lol) and picked up DQ for dinner. We went home and watched Slapshot and an episode of Justified before she took off. We headed to bed after that :) Monday Ty was up bright and early to head into what we thought was his first day of work. Apparently the boss got the dates wrong because he was in Florida still, but they let Ty stay and did the "training" until 1 and he came home. Now he's off this week until Monday when his real start date is LOL..Glad he gets this week off though since I'm not at work much :) When he came home we had a quick lunch and hung out. I cleaned up a bit (I hate the never ending cycle of cleaning) and we watched some Justified (which PS..is an AWESOME show that we started since we finished season 4 of Breaking Bad), took a quick shower and went to bed! I was sleeping by 8:30 I think! lol I had grown so used to the 9-5 and then a long weekend that when my alarm actually went off I almost had a heart attack! lol I headed out a bit early to fill my tank up with gas and ended up waiting forever for the bus (like 20 mins but it felt like forever lol). It's going to be slow here at work today since my one manager has an eye infection and the Director's admin isn't in..nor is half of one of my teams..I guess no one is ready to let the long weekend go? lol Tomorrow is my personal day, then on Thurs I am only in until noon since I have a doctors appointment in the afternoon--Friday is my next full day of work after this LOL..thankful though since it gives me some time to get ready for Ty's big paintball BBQ this weekend--I have to decide what to make still and get the groceries for it. Friday night we may do our prenatal class at Ty's cousins house instead of the 23rd but I haven't heard anything back after she suggested this Friday so that's all still kind of in the air!
