Ok--this is turning out to be a long day--maybe because it feels like Monday?? Yesterday I was off all day--slept in a tiny bit until Ty left for work at 7 and then I got up and cleaned the kitchen a bit and watched a bit of TV before getting showered and dressed to go! Ty came home and washed up and got ready and we headed out! We were ALMOST late because Ty had to stop for gas and the Sunday drivers were out in full force lol--Also, glad I called ahead because I was under the impression we were meeting at the hospital, but I guess not! It was at his practice in Orleans!(which was more convenient for us actually lol) Got there and they did the same old--pee sample, blood pressure, weight, filled out some paper work and went over my file with me, then I got to the room (nice office--very cozy!) and I waited :) In walks Dr. McCarthy who is everything opposite of what I had imagined. He's not super short but not very tall--dark hair, perfectly manicured beard, very, very long eye lashes, dressed like a normal human being (no lab coat or anything) and was SO warm and friendly from the moment we met (and he's younger than expected as well--maybe 50 or so). He said my name seemed very familiar to him so we discussed that for a bit (we definitely don't know each other we've determined lol). He talks so relaxed--we laughed and joked around a lot, which I appreciate! Talked about my due date, talked about my family, his family, his history with Dr. Grainger, etc and then I hopped up on the bed and he measured my uterus and the heart beat and checked fetal positioning. Afterwards, I went out and booked every single appointment with his receptionist in advance so I don't have to try and remember to call LOL So every 2 weeks for the next 4 weeks and then once a week after I hit 36 weeks. I am SO glad we got him, I can't even explain the sense of relief of finding someone you click so well with--doesn't hurt his case that he's a Newfie through and through and has a wee bit of an accent still lol--Tyler automatically loved him for that reason alone LOL Afterwards, we went home and I cooked up some dinner and we watched a bit of tv, Ty took a bath and I just relaxed! We were in bed VERY early! LOTS of work to catch up on this morning which usually makes it go by quick but NOPE! VERY long day so far! Ty was at Adessa for work this morning driving skidoos on and off his truck that were being sold..I think he was having fun--he called all giddy lol..then he had a run to Cornwall this afternoon for a few cars and home--so it'll be a good day for him :) Here's hoping the afternoon flies by and 5:00 comes fast!! lol Happy Thursday everyone :):)
