Here we go again, back at the beginning of this cycle of work weeks. I hate Mondays but am very optimistic this week will go fast (I hope) though it will take some getting used to with the time change and working 9-5 this week--By the time I got to work this morning the day felt half over! lol Anyways, I guess I should start by a little weekend recap. Friday night after a long day of work I rushed home and got ready--just in time to head out and grab a quick bite to eat at Wendy's with Ty (We looked real classy sitting eating in Wendy's all dressed up LOL). Then we headed to the NAC for Broadway's Beauty and the Beast. The first half was a little lack lustre (the build up of the movie, etc) but after intermission was really good :) This show wasn't as good as we have grown accustomed to but it was still ok. We were slightly turned off by the lack of class of people around us--too much perfume, talking throughout, being late getting into the show and squeezing by everyone, etc..also, it's getting increasingly uncomfortable for me to sit for extended periods of time like that so I was constantly readjusting my sitting situation which I'm sure was annoying to those around me lol. But all in all it was a nice night out and a good excuse to get dressed up (which, let's face it, who doesn't love a good excuse? :)). We got home around 11:30 or so and laid in bed and unwound a bit before sleeping. Saturday morning we got up and went right into town to eat at Pyper's Diner--our new fav as I said last week lol. After breakfast we decided to give the TV shopping another shot. We were going to go to Future Shop (again, like we intended last week) but ended up venturing into Stereo Plus and Design on Innes--for those of you that haven't been in this store--WOW. It's not super huge but it is GORGEOUS and the staff is insanely knowledgeable and friendly. We sat there for about 30 minutes in a comfy sofa while the sales man made his pitch to us about the different qualities/sizes/ bang for our buck, etc. We decided on a 65" Panasonic Smart Viera plasma TV--which is rated #3 in the world (#1 is the model up from ours and #2 is a $7000 television, so I think we got a good deal:)) We also purchased another blu ray player and 2 pairs of 3D glasses that are rechargeable through the tv (the battery operated ones are unsafe for me to use while pregnant but these ones are ok as they operate differently--he explained to me and it made sense at the time but I couldn't repeat it if there were a gun to my head lol). We also needed 2 HDMI cords and a wall mount so we could hang it instead of resting it on the tv stand. We stopped next door on the way out at Robertson Rent-all for Ty to do something and he picked up a case of our favourite root beer (comes in bottles like Dad's but isn't as sweet). We headed home and he hung out outside for a bit installing the new sub he bought for his truck and I cleaned the house a bit (all the bathroom stuff is still in the hall because we are still getting all the caulking down and washing the walls/ceilings/floors/painting shelves and put up new hardware--towel racks, toilet paper holder, etc) so I cleaned around as much as I could. Gibby and his girlfriend were over earlier than I expected but I stopped cleaning and the boys moved all the tv stuff in and hooked it up while Laura and I supervised :) The boys headed out to the store shortly after to pick up the meat for dinner while Laura and I visited and I got the sides ready. We had chicken on the bbq, baked potatoes, sauteed green beans, and a garden salad. For dessert I just whipped up a quick batch of brownies. The boys had a couple drinks and a cigar and then they headed home. I tried to go to bed but was SO awake with heartburn so I looked at Pinterest for a while and turned on a movie until we fell asleep. Sunday morning we woke up feeling lazy so I made a big breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast and homefries and we watched an episode of Breaking Bad. After that we were both dying of boredom and decided--why not start yet ANOTHER house project since we seems to be burning our way through the list quickly these days :) We got dressed and headed into Orleans yet again and went on in to Home Depot. We stopped in and bought what we thought was a big garbage can for the kitchen (which we badly needed) and couldn't figure out why the box was so huge and heavy--they charged us for one garbage can, we get home , open the box and theres FOUR of them inside...Home Depot is screwing up bad but there's no way we're driving them back so we're keepign them LOL)..we also picked out a nice big closet organizer since the way our closet was laid out was NOT working at ALL for us and our needs. We haven't decided on doors yet--whether we'll go the pax route, other doors we saw that we liked or if we'll like it without doors once the organizer is in--we'll wait and see. When we got home, we made some toasted tomato and bacon sandwhiches for lunch and I emptied the closet out on the spare room bed and Ty tore down the shelves and stuff in our closet--leaving a big mess so he had to patch the drywall up--that took ALL night to dry!! It's supposed to be dry in 45 mins flat! So we slept in a chaotic room last night and I had to crawl over him everytime I woke up to pee--so annoying! lol This morning Ty woke up with me and sanded down the patch stuff and painted it. He just has to let that dry and he can start assembling the closet :) I hope he doesn't wait until I get home to rehang all the clothes *sigh* lol. Anyways..I have a bit of work to catch up on now which is good :) Hopefully it passes the morning quick and I can carry on with the week! Should be just about dark when I get home now :( Happy Monday everyone!!
