Friday October 18

Ok, thankfully it's Friday. Not so thankfully this month is flying by!!
Also, my pumpkins are rotten and in the garbage :( I guess they did well--and we won't be here in Halloween anyways so no biggie!

Ty ate a really late lunch yesterday (like we're talking 4pm) so, in turn I didn't get to cooking until around 6.

Let me tell you, between the laundry, errands, playing, Garett mealtimes, diapers, bottles, dishes, naps that inconveniently happen on my lap, etc, I sometimes forget (aka don't have time so I push my hunger to the back of my mind) to eat. So, between a quick brunch at 11 and starting a pretty labour/time intensive recipe such as chicken pot pie and puff pastry at 6pm...I was starving. Around 7:45 I got to pull it out of the oven, cut through the perfect flaky/warm/buttery pastry and dig into the creamy/veggie/oven roasted chicken/comforting inside. Omg. I died. Just to make sure I wasn't tooting my own horn too fast, I had Ty try it. Yup, I got the closed eye/head tilt of approval lol finally, something worth opening that sweet bottle of Riesling I had been saving to cook with. Also I stole a glass full while I waited, watching my boy crawl around. What a perfect pairing....anyways. Enough, I get it.

We relaxed for a while and I watched the first period of hockey with the boys. Once intermission came, we came up to a bottle and beddy-byes for Garett. 

Tonight:leftovers and relaxing. I have another nurse coming on Saturday to try and take my blood for life insurance since the last lady was a hack. Wish her and my deep veins luck (though no one else has ever had problems hmmmm). 

Today I am putting away a few of Garett's things. His bouncer, collapsing the exersaucer for now and folding up his jolly jumper. He hasn't used this stuff for a while :( makes me sad, but excited to make room for other stuff! 

This weekend is a baby food making weekend! Onto cooking meat for the boy! I bought him some egg white , yogurt, and cottage cheese in anticipation of starting that soon (I know he got the go ahead, but I felt better about it waiting until 9 months).

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
