Here we go again, Monday
Sunday was nice :)
We relaxed in the morning, cleaning up a bit. I went to the grocery store (it was insanely busy, what the heck?!) and we made evening plans with our friends Jeff and Leah.
I started a new rib roast recipe I found that involved a ton of veggie (sick of roast that are just carrot and potato--so we mixed it up)! Filled with onion, garlic (of course ), celery, carrots, tomato, and mushrooms. Probably my fave roast recipe as of late--it's a keeper. Thanks Pinterest :)
I also made a new potato recipe (which I'm always looking for. We love potatoes in this house, but I hate how much effort mashed involves and I was ready to change up the other ideas for some new ones). I settled on these oven baked/chicken broth infused ones. They took forever to bake, but when they were done they were pretty good, and I appreciate things I can pop into the oven and carton with life until its ready!
For a veggie I made my usual green bean mix up of stuff and added leftover from breakfast bacon. Yum. Bacon is always a bonus.
For dessert we had warmed up cookies n' cream squares I made the other day with vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream--Ty is the only one that opted for the healthy option of angel food cake with berries--added whipped cream and ice cream though lol.
Tyler and Jeff are opening a store together, so they got together to go through some inventory, look at the business cards, etc while the girls visited. My sister in law, Dolly came over for a visit too and played with garett :) I love me some quiet nights in with friends! Garett is getting ready to cut a tooth I think so he was pretty fussy anytime a bottle was involved in the evening, but for the most part he was really good!:)
Today is so overcast and cozy. Garett is feeling lazy and I would like to be lay as well lol. The Rogers guy is coming by 10--we are getting rid of our bell satellite-- we lose service everytime it rains, we are paying stupid amounts of money for our channels and PVRs and can only record two shows at once. With rogers, all 3 TVs will have PVRs where the main TV can record 8 show at once, 2 at a time on the other two, its whole home (we can watch any PVR show on any TV, same channels, lower price--deal!!) lol.
Then I have to go to the store for stuff for dinner and have a busy day of playing ahead as well (shucks!) lol.
Have a happy Monday, everyone! :)
