So many pinterests, so little time


Friday morning was a blur, trying to get ready and out the door with G for 8:45. We had an appointment at Medysis for our travel medicine. Turns out I only needed my updated tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis shot that e erroneous gets every 10 years. She gave us our Dukarol boosters and sent in our prescription for antibiotics in case we need them while we are away. Painless:) it's getting so close!! :) 

We grabbed a quick lunch at timmies and Ty went back to work and I went home with G.  

We decided to have Garett's Godparents over for dinner, so I turned to Pinterest! 

My current obsession is making new Pinterest recipes. I still love our old standards, but my aspiring foodie side is getting the best of me, so my fave partof he day is going to the store for fresh ingredients for dinner. I settled on creamy Cajun chicken.


I added pancetta to the recipe ....yummmmmm

We had artisan garlic bread with it and had two cakes at dessert (a truffle cake and ablackforest style cake but strawberry instead of cherry)

After dinner we watched some Lost, some YouTube,  and visited. I enjoyed an apple cider beer on ice(like biting into an apple! I love these ever since our trip to Merrickville )


Garett was in bed by 10:15 but woke up fussing for a bottle at midnight ,which I anticipated since he hadn't eaten since 7. After he ate, I was in bed too and woke up at 8:15 with him :) 

Lots on the go today too , so just enjoying the napping baby on my lap for now before we "go "

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
