Weekend recap

Busy past few days...

One of my cats went missing on Thursday afternoon--Friday night around 11 she finally came home :) I was so happy and wired that I barely got to sleep.

3:30 AM on Saturday morning...the cell phone goes off....we call the number back and the number doesn't work...wtf.

Saturday was our October date day. This months date involved Garett, so we loaded up and headed all the way out to Carp Farmers Market. I love Markets! So we wandered around and bought some fudge (skor, chunky peanut butter and caramel walnut flavours), some real maple syrup, pickled beets (for Ty ) , dill pickles and our pumpkins (Ty got an orange and I to a white one). We stopped to watch a man playing some music because Garett was really curious and then we headed out :)

We drove a few minutes down the road to Alice's Village Cafe for breakfast. In this place you order your food at the counter and they bring it out when it's ready. The food was good (and the cinnamon bun we split was to die for)
We headed back into ottawa after and stopped into Michaels in Orleans for our pumpkin carving gear--a new knife, a scoop with sharp teeth (amazing) , some paint brushes, paint, and I bought some Halloween cookie cutters too lol Garett had his first ride in a shopping cart here :)

When we were done, we headed over to my mother/father in laws house and dropped Garett off for 40 minutes while we took advantage of the nice day and went o a driving range nearby
We sat at a picnic table after our buckets and drank a soft drink and headed back. My sister in law and her husband came by too and we had a big dinner with salad, baked spaghetti and garlic bread--I was so full! We headed home around 7:30 and watched the majority of the hockey game before we all passed out!

Garett and grandpa had the same idea

Sunday we woke up, I laid all the carving stuff out on the table with newspaper, then I headed out and got stuff for a big breakfast. Ty made it for us and we relaxed for a bit--we then proceeded to carve/paint away!

Once that was cleaned up, I cleaned all the seeds and made one batch normal sea salt and the other batch spicy--yum!

Garett ate his last feeding of broccoli --onto other stuff ....he was feeling festive in his Halloween outfit :)

After that, we all watched "it's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown" special I bought
When the movie was over I thought I would get artsy--Garett is it cooperative enough for artsy yet, but this will still make a cute momento.

Tonight , we are ordering in dinner and watching World War Z with snacks :) a perfect way to end a perfect rainy day!
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as much as I did :)

    1. We really liked it--a few parts were for sure disturbing, but I guess necessary? Lol I thought it would be more scary, but kind of thankful it wasn't! I don't love brad Pitt in the role though--he just looked to hard to believe--like an ex-military guy with long hair? No . Lol
