Point form

--Tyler had his fishing derby this last Thurs-Sun and so I headed with G man to visit my family. We had a very nice 3 days :) We were sad to leave , but happy to be home and to see Ty. 

-- Sunday I spent unpacking and cleaning. 

-- Monday night we turned on the Apple TV and watched the series finale of breaking bad. I think I had higher expectations-not sure how I imagined it to end, but it wasn't that way.

-- Ty is "off" today. He had to run to town for a quick estimate and is finishing off some paperwork today but we have him mostly to ourselves between that stuff :) 

--yesterday I ran to the bank and Shoppers. I actually took the plunge and dyed my hair myself last night and it turned out really well. Finally I got the colour of brown I wanted--my hair dresser always gives me a red/brown which I absolutely hate, so this is more of a rich, warm brown, which I love. It's a few shades darker than my normal hair, so Garett wasn't a fan for about 4 mins until he realized it was me lol.

-- tonight we are finishing up season 5 (hopefully ) of Sons of Anarchy--- it is so hard to get caught up on shows together because we only have a certain amount of time together a day!

-- we have crazy weekends (busy busy) planned.

-- Saturday morning we are off as a family to do our October date day (Septembers date is on thanksgiving weekend lol), then afterwards we are off to my mother in laws house for a belated bday dinner for me. 

--I am waiting for 6 packages in the mail :) it's like Christmas when I get them!

-- for my bday, Ty surprised me with a "Holtz Head Start Morning" package at Holtz Spa, which consists of a European facial with a lymphatic drainage massage, eyebrow shaping, aromatic steam bath, full body massage, and a signature spa pedicure. (Now to find the time to go). Then he brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers from his cousins flower business and brought me home one of my faves--Swiss Chalet. After dinner, he took Garett and I got to take a nice long bath he drew me with my new Cosmo magazine he brought me home :) 

--Garett stood on his own yesterday without holding onto anything to pull himself up. He's growing p SO fast.

-- New brakes, oil change, differentials serviced, engine flushed, new wipers done= me feeling like my car is brand new again lol

-- I finally caught up writing I'm Garett's baby journal. 

-- mine and Ty's costumes came in the mail the other day-- we are going to look like such losers lolol. Garett's is on it's way :)

--I made pancakes for breakfast this morning for us, with some real maple syrup I picked up--yumm. Pancakes are all I ate for breakfast usually when I was pregnant-- so they bring back some memories :)

--we got our other baby gate extensions--Tyler still has to macgyver (sp?) something so it'll fit with our weird doorway on an angle like it is.

--time for Garett's bath, so I am done! Have a good hump day everyone :)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
