Getting ready...

Yesterday I finally managed to get all my summer clothes put away. Even when I type it, it doesn't sound like a big job. But going through my drawers to get all my summer skirts/capris/light pants folded and put into bins, then sort through my summer tops (because I have to leave some tank top like shirts out for under blazers/pullovers, etc), get them into the bins, and then wash all the fall/winter clothes and get them hung (and then I hang them in order of colour and if its a pull over, sweater, long sleeve shirt, tshirt, tank top. It's just so time consuming. I cannot wait for when I have a huge closet and can leave ALL my clothes out all year long :)

I packed away all my summer dresses and cover-ups too, although that bin is still in my room because I will need it when I start packing for Mexico--which is now 53 days away--and for those that know me, know I will be packing in about 33 days lol

I have also bought my bathing suits and am starting shopping for more dresses (I don't pack light--dresses for the day/excursion outfits/fancier dresses for dinner since there's always a dress code at the a-la-Cartes). Plus the shoes, bags, hair products, accessories--it takes planning!

Also, I need to get some sort of idea of what I am doing for Christmas for people-- we are cutting back big time this year, so I will probably just buy each couple something nice that I think they would like--or one nice thing for each individual instead of a few smaller things--you would think this would make brainstorming easier--but it's harder to pick one thing, because what if they hate it???

I need to get an idea of what and how much to buy Garett--I know this Christmas doesn't really mean much, so just a few things for him, since he is already drowning in books and toys and clothing. I am going to the big Samko and Miko toy sale, so hopefully find what I want there :)

On top of that, I have all of the decor picked out for Garett's first birthday party , so I have to start planning that, since once I go back to work I won't have as much time for this stuff...

Ifeel like I need to get all my ducks in a row at this point because the next 3 (alittle less actually) months before work will go by vERY quickly.

Yesterday Ty stayed home because of the rain :) we got quite a bit done around the house and watched the movie Super 8 with dinner--- do yourselves a favour and save 2 hours of your life and don't watch this movie :)

Sorry to cut it short--bottle time!!

Have a good Tuesday everyone !

  1. Oh my god, thinking of G's birthdaty already?! I shouldn't be surprised though, like you said (and we all know) you plan well in advance for stuff :) We are also cutting back on gifts this year - Casey and I are doing a stocking tradition and thats it for us and buying only gift cards for people and they can go buy whatever they want :)

  2. Lol ya, but I don't really have a choice but to start planning for it-- have to get him ready to start daycare/solidify a spot, plan for thanksgiving, Christmas, date days, Mexico, New Years, events in between, get into work to get my pass and get things ready to be back there...it's a crazy time of year and I worry that if I don't plan ahead that some things will suffer--and I don't want my boys bday to be the thing that does :(

There's no point in big Christmases right now when everyone stresses about what to get and there's no Santa believers among us right now--next year we will pick up the pace again
