Hump Dayee

Hi All!
Well, we made it through Tuesday (AKA longest day of the week), and even though it wasn't Friday like I thought it was, I am still happy to see hump day roll around.

Last night was pretty uneventful--same old--dinner, cleaning up, playing, baths, bed. We are enjoying the routine of weeknights for now--though tonight it will be thrown off a bit. Need to get home, get dinner done and cleaned up and get our list of questions ready for this home that we are viewing:

The idea of a new home excites me, but the idea of a nice house that needs only a little bit of work in each room (ie, new floors or paint, or light fixtures) excites both of us, because it's like a blank slate. I think this house is a good example of that. The only thing worrisome is the pool area. I don't like that the pool is flush with the deck (for reasons of Garett fall in). So we would either need to break that deck down and build a new one, with the pool only being accessible from the ground area with steps, or build up a fence around it on the deck...there's a few options anyways--but really...who does that??? Building a deck flush to the pool, right off the kitchen??? Obviously people that don't have small children and aren't thinking about resale of the home...anyways...we will see what the rest of the home is like.

One of the realtors called and cancelled one of the houses we were supposed to see on Friday (they were having guests over for the weekend and it was just bad timing), so we only need to go see two on Friday night. Will post the links on Friday :)

Has anyone else heard about this Summer "Polar Vortex?". I thought I was sick of hearing that lingo in the winter--now it is haunting us in the summer. Though, I don't necessarily think the break from suffocating 45 degree heat is a bad thing. I will take 20-22 degrees any day over that! Plus, we can shut the AC off and get fresh air in the house :)

I am so excited to be off work with G next week--well, starting weds (and to the following weds, and then again on aug 1). I need some time away from the office (and more than just a day here or there). This will be my first vacation that was more than a day away since I came back in Jan, so I feel as though I deserve it :) haha

Tomorrow should go by quickly--we are throwing my sister-in-law a shower at work, so that will eat up most of lunch time/a bit of the afternoon :)
